Yeah i knew that. He sprained his ankle halfway through last game. It certainly is a blow to the O-line but nothing drastic.
Doug Legursky will fill in for Pouncey. Legursky was the same guy who filled in for Pouncey in the Super Bowl last season when he was unable to play. He definately has the ability to play the position and should be ready due to the numerous snaps he's had this season because of the steelers depleted O-line. I wouldn't worry too much about that.
Harrison is out but Woodley is in so not much drop-off (if any) there as well.

Trai is inconsistant but he isn't the worst in the NFL. He may get beat more often then avg but he has drvies where he can hold his own. I would much rather have Trai in there than Kimo. Trai doesn't take penalties, Whereas Kimo will hold, or flase start to kill drives and he's always due for at least 1 unneccesary roughness each game.

I wouldnt worry about the field being a concern, the steelers play at heinz one of the hardest fields to play on. With Willis expected to miss the game not sure how the 9ers D will be able to stop the pitt offense. Can't see how you can justify your play when they lost to the cards last week... Woodley back from injury as well.

Appreciate your knowledge of the Steelers. I'm a SF fan considering taking the Over instead. The game is vital to both teams. Both defenses are stout against the run but can be passed upon. AZ beat SF last week by mirroring Dick Labou's defense which should help SF's prepare for Monday night. Patrick Willis will likely miss the game. His replacement, Larry Grant, is stout against the run but was exposed against the pass vs AZ. Ben is way better QB than Skelton and will exploit this weakness. Similarly, Alex Smith will benefit from Harrison's absence, as well as, the familiarity of seeing essentially the same defense two weeks in a row and put a few scoring drives together. IMO, the final score will be around 43 (eg, 24-21) and neither team has a clear advantage over the other. Your thoughts on the Over?
If Alex Smith puts a "few" scoring drives together it will be a miracle, 1st he's playing against one of the best defenses in football, 2nd and most important, Niners had better score from outside the red zone, as they are 2nd worst team (#31) in the NFL scoring a TD from inside the Red Zone, only scoring a TD 35.56% of the time, and even worse~ 0 % ~ in their last 3 games. Steelers are middle (#17) of the league in this same stat, scoring a TD, 50 % of the time; however, they have picked it up in their last 3 games, to scoring a TD 60 % of the time. Each of these teams has gone under the # in their last 10 games 6 times, the Niners season O/U is 4-3-0 @ home, while the Steelers O/U on the road is 4-2-0, which points to an over. All looking like the books have the opening total right at 38, which I piled on the under for 20 units, now the total has dropped 1/2 a point and I think this HUGE, I would only play the under for my regular 5 unit play at this number, however I feel the final score to be: Pittsburgh 17 Niners 12
