Situationally there isn’t a better spot or play this weekend than GB laying the short number.

Look at what Seattle has been through the last 3 weeks.

Home vs SF: brutal last second loss and a playoff game essentially.

Road vs PHI: Fly from the furthest points in the West to the East in Philly. Barely beat a back up QB and a team who is crippled with injury.

Fly back home and back to the East to frigid GB for a playoff game vs a healthy and rested GB team.

I think Seattle only hope is for Decaf Metcalf to have 160 yards and 2 TD’s and Wilson playing out of his mind. Force 2 turn overs.

That’s the only scenario where I see Seattle can keep it within the number.

I've been scouring the internet and I'm seeing a lot of Packers love out there to not just win on Sunday but go to the SB. From Vegas Insider to Sports Illustrated, everyone and their mother is picking the Packers to represent the NFC. Not sure if it is just a bunch of white dudes with man crushes on Rodgers, or nostalgia for the great but immobile white QB of yesteryear, but no one is picking the Niners. If GB does get there it would be a travesty because they are an above average team at best. The best conference this year was the NFC West, even Arizona was plucky, but maybe they beat up on each other so much, while the likes of the Vikings and Packers just coasted, that it has taken its toll. I sure hope not, because when San Francisco is clicking, they are a sight to behold.

Great points BB. Which is why I think GB eeks out a win. GB ML is probably the best play in this game. GB isn’t winning at SF. It ends there.

If the theme of the Super Bowl is going to be old school vs new school then it’ll be Aaron Rodgers vs Lamar Jackson or Patrick Mahomes.

With Brady and Bree’s already eliminated - Rodgers and Wilson are the only ones left from the “old school” glass.

Thoughtful response BB...I like to ponder the overall state of things also...I recall last week all of the man love for Philly...those guys were mostly (not all) fans and not attempting to be objective at all. I myself write a lot about the Steelers, not because I am a fan, but they happen to be the team I know most about. I would and have bet against them in times past.

The pro athletes don't take a loss as seriously as their fans do. Hell, if they are eliminated, they have their bags packed for exotic destinations and are dreaming of ways to spend all of their millions.

I recall the Packers against LAC and I happened to guess right on that one as a letdown spot. I see no edge with either team but I would be surprised if GB makes it to the 'show' this year. To be so talented as Rodgers and to have only one super bowl appearance is not much of a legacy.

I would prefer to see Seattle @ SF again...they both put on quite a show.

So if Green Bay beats the teams they play and therefore EARN the spot, it's a travesty? Just about the dumbest thing I have ever heard.

In my neck of the woods, I haven't heard anyone picking the packers to make it it to the Super Bowl..all I hear is San Fran and Baltimore love.

It would be a travesty you dumb sob because they play in the easiest division and have not beaten anybody worth mentioning. Learn how to read before you comment.

yeah idk what this niner loving dude is talking about. everyone was picking the saints or the 49ers and everyone is actually calling Green Bay the worst 13-3 team of all time. His Niners have had a good regular season but are so inexperienced, the most important factor of the playoffs, BB keeps pushing that no one is picking the 49ers yet the whole world has been on them to win the NFC

The NFC North is one of the hardest divisions in football. Packers and Vikings are contenders, Bears have a top 3 defense and the lions are bad but always compete in divisional games.

And for the OP, everyone seems to be Seattle yet I cannot see a clear cut reason for it. Seattle has a great road record. Well Green Bay has one of the best home records... but like you said, Wilson will need to put on a magic show Sunday, but in a place where he has historically struggled.

The Vikings had not beaten a team with a winning record until they beat the Saints!
The bears have the worst QB in football and no offense.

I believe that the NFC East was one of the historically worst rated divisions in football. 3 coaches got fired from it, and Philly lost nearly half their starters to Injury at any given point.

According to Sagarin, the NFC West was the best at 22.50, and the NFC Central was a close 2nd at 21.73.

I was in a sports' cafe in Asia (for the holidays) last month and all I heard was Packer love...of course the knuckleheads were from cheeseland so what can you expect. Only a silly fan (or a bettor) would be awake at 2am and watching the Packers'/Skins' game.

I know another reason why an American tourist would be up at 2am in a sports cafe lol

The NFC Central wasn't too shabby.  Chicago was supposed to be like last year but they weren't.  Detroit can have its moments too.  Oh and Minny beat N.O. in the playoffs.   So we'll see.  It's the West vs the Central this weekend.
