C-Hawks may hang around in first half with the Bears being a little rusty but I think they finish the game convincingly with a win and a cover.

    Go BEARS!

you helped break down not only the game but reason why they were now 10 pt favorites as opposed to 6 pts including seattle coming off a bye week and the fact that cutler had missed a week.
you also said that he was taking 7 step drops which he was and i agree ,he was taking 7 step drops 2 weeks prior to hawks game vs giants and i believe the giants line had a record 9 sacks vs bears by halftime. they changed their offense quite alot since the seahawks game and dont incorporate that many 7 step drops.their line is still suspect but martz said he went with shorter routes on play calls and it allows cutler to go through his reads faster. im loving the bears too just do not have the patience for the write up . if anyone was on the fence before your write they will thank you after sundays game cause you did a great job on this game.bears27-13 great job.

Thanks buddy.  You're absolutely right.  The offense definitely 'changed things' up after the bye and it showed.  26 ppg for the Bears after the bye! (not including the GB game in week 17)  That's very impressive.

One more thing I forgot to mention.  Garza also missed that game against the Seahawks.  After the bye, Garza was back and the line stayed the same through the end of the year.  That helped them 'gel' and improve as the season went on.  The o-line is not as bad as everyone thinks (it's not great by any means) and I expect the Bears to be able to execute their offense against this 'soft' Seattel D.

    GOOD LUCK

Well, it's because of this kind of thinking that Vegas makes so much $$.  People usually assume that if team A wins game1, then team A will win game 2 as well.  In the NFL, it just doesn't work like that.  Teams improve, make adjustments, and have different factors that hindered them in game 1, turn in their favor in game 2 (injuries, rest, travel, etc....)

I really feel good about the Bears covering the line and if your logic for them losing/not covering is because they lost to the Seahawks already, then I suggest digging a little deeper than that.

That being said I believe that you can not discount the desire that Coach Carroll has instilled in these players and the confidence that they showed in their last 2 wins....

I can not begin to tell you how many games I have lost because the game looked so good on paper and was sure that I had enough info to cap the correct winner!!!!

This team for whatever reasons is believing in themselves and just picture in your mind or better yet if you have access to the touchdown run by Lynch, you will realize that this team is on a mission.  They may fall short of victory, but I can tell you that I believe their DESIRE will at least cover this number!!!   SEA + 10
    BOL!!

    thanks buddy..

Well, 'desire' works both ways.  Both teams will be just as motivated.  I've watched and listened to a lot of 'bears' interviews this week.  The 'desire' in these players is just as strong as I'm sure in Seattle's group.  Bears hate the fact that they lost to Seattle once already and they can't wait to play them again.  Peppers' interview was the best -- I really think he's going to 'explode' on Sunday.  You can just sense all the 'built-up" DESIRE in him... we shall see..

As to your point of you 'losing games that look good on paper' -- that is absolutely accurate!  There's a billion factors that impact a game after it starts that we can't control.  Best we can do, is do our homework and make a sound/logic decision.  I feel I've done that, but you're absolutely right, anything can and does happen.

SEA + 10

Right on!  I just actually commented on that...Garza also missed the first game against Seattle with an injury, and he's been starting ever since then.  The line has gotten better as did the whole offense!  Seattle didn't improve at all over a course of a season....big factors here!

Seattle putting up 27?!! Porter is the main reason why they scored 41 against NO...
HIGHLY doubtful the Bears come close to losing. The Seahawks had a lucky win in Chicago this year and it will not happen again!!!

Bears D has been hibernating for the past 2 weeks and they are HUNGRY!!!

So you think because of a LUCKY win in Chicago 23-20, they are gonna win by 13?!! - you're gonna need it...
I love the fact that b/c the Seahawks had a great win over a decent defense they are going to beat the Bears by double digits!!

Not saying anyone really is but I wouldn't put ANY thought into the Bears losing 10-3 @ Lambeau as far as capping goes... that game was no more an impressive win than the Seahawks in Chi.
The Bears will ALWAYS play GB hard if for no other reason than it is the longest rivalry in Football by far...
If anything, talk about the game GB SHOULD have won in Chi. b/c of the insane amount of penalties!!

Loved your write-up... Really good stuff. The Bears always scare me with DD spreads... I'll probably put a 1 or 2 unit play on the Bears when the public brings the line down...

    bodio,

the total on this game has moved to 43 now...

I don't think it will - but if this goes to 43.5 I'll be buying a half point and taking UNDER 44

    thoughts?

IMO Seattle will not score in this game... but even against this very soft Seattle defense, I'm not sold on Chicago scoring more than 24 points ... I will most likely be on the Bears small tomorrow, but I might hit the under a little harder.

And I hate teasers, but I also hate to keep myself off of a winning ticket because I don't want to break my 'rules'
