How is it the Owners fault? Since when has the average joe been able to walk into there job and tell there boss how much they can make? Come on.

There both greedy. but i put this on the players. No different when the NHL stopped aswell. How much money is enough

You mean the owners have offered a fair deal by asking for 1 BILLION more off the top?  Wow, that's pretty fair.  I see your point.  Perhaps you should look a little closer at the facts before picking a side. 

 

The owners 1st biggest gripe was the rookie salary cap, players agreed. 

As it stands, the owners don't want to show why they need the extra billion.  They want to provide the info THEY want to provide, not what the players have asked.  If your going to say your profits are steadily declining, then prove it.  PERIOD.

Also the owners want to make it where a player has to be in the league for 7 years before they can become an unrestricted free agents.  How is that a fair deal?  Especially when rb's average career length is 4 years.

Sorry man, your cred is shot with this comment.  HUGE difference.  The NHL was losing money and did have the sponsorship to cover their expenses.  The NFL does not have this issue.

One last thing, the owners have been preparing for this for years.  Not want to negotiate until the last minute and threating a lock out for almost 2 years.  Why?  Because they were set to get 4 Billion regardless if the season was played or not.  But yet it's the players fault.  Man, I thought you were better than that.

Bunch of fucking pigs. The players have even said they would agree to lower the salary cap if they could see the books but the owners have balked at opening up, wonder why?

Hey, the players make millions I get that but these guys are literally sacrificing their lives as down the line many won't be able to even walk. What's the average lifespan of an of NFL player?

I don't understand why people are upset at the players, if the league is raking in money the way it is and you are offered millions to do a job you are good at are you going to turn that down? Fuck no.

The sad part is that although the owners are a bunch of pigs, they ultimately have all the leverage and it will most likely be the players that will have to cave in while the owners laugh to the bank yet again.

It continues to amaze me that certain types of personalities will side with management, no matter how fucked their position is. 

I see that Goodell and his cronies have slashed their salary to $1. What a terrible publicity stunt, this should just piss people off more.

The NFL isn't losing money. This isn't anything like when the other 3 sports went on strike.

Depends on whom i has my money on. Do you think Jerry Jones could sell the team and stadium for a billion if he put it on the market? Isn't that it's estimated worth.
