NE almost always defers if they win the coin flip and NYG almost always recieve.

Including the playoffs, the Patriots have only received the opening kickoff twice this year. Both times, it was the opposition who won the coin toss and deferred(the Bills in week 3 and the Broncos in the Divisional round). Every coin toss the Patriots won this season, they deferred.

The Giants deferred twice, once vs. the 49ers in the Divisional game and once in week 17 vs.Cowboys. All other games they elected to receive.

It appears likely that if the Patriots win the toss, they will defer. And it also appears likely the Giants will choose to receive if they win the toss. Therefore, the most likely team to kickoff is the Patriots. Despite these numbers and the overwhelming likelihood that the Giants will receive the opening kickoff, current odds seem to offer little value to me.
