This is the chiefs SB and Kyle Orton's chance to prove he may still be able to lead a team. GB is a heavy favorite, but KC is a tough place to play and the stadium is always sold out, so it will def. be sold out for a game vs the pack. Even though I think Jennings being out isn't necessarily going to slow down the Pack much since they are deep at receiver, I think in this particular game considering the solid corners KC has it actually will effect them - You have a top corner in Flowers covering Jordy who he should be able to stay with and Carr covering J Jones - Driver will be covered by Javier Arenas who's also solid - The real big mismatch for the Packers is Jermichael Finley since Eric Berry has been out for the season and Safety is a big weakness for KC - thing is even GB's running game possibly missing Saine and Starks isn't necessarily a strength - though R Grant has looked good recently he's not that good a pass catching back and I don't expect him to blow up or anything, so considering the Packers may not be there usual explosive selves aside from Jermichael I think you're getting incredibly good value on a team at their lowest value in the Chiefs playing at home at a sold out and loud stadium
I also like that KC is coming off getting merked by the jets in a letdown game that I faded them on in a b2b east coast road swing. GB meanwhile is undefeated playing a team I doubt even seeps into their head as any threat to beat them and have a home division game next week vs chicago along with another home division game right after that for the final game of the season vs the lions - Keep in mind that if Orton lasts all game he is quite a step up from shitty Tyler Palko and should be able to move the ball with all those weapons in Bowe, Baldwin, and Breaston along with mccluster out of the backfield - Orton also if you remember used to play for the Bears in the same division as the Pack so he won't be intimidated
Orton has a 3-2 record as a starter against the Packers. He never lost to Green Bay when the Bears were the home team.
Sunday's date with Kansas City stands to be technically the last road game of the season for the Packers - I don't see them running up points if they are up decently big and 14 at home is a lot even for KC - Rodgers is already talking about the Bears and Lions rather than the Chiefs:
"I'll just say that I think, as players, we would probably like to finish this (unbeaten) thing out if we get a chance. And, a chance to maybe keep the (Chicago) Bears and the (Detroit) Lions (the Packers' final two opponents) out of the playoffs like the Bears tried to do to us last year."
If they win Sunday, the Packers will go into their Christmas night game against Chicago at Lambeau Field knocking on perfection's door one year to the day of the genesis of their 19-game winning streak
With OL Sitton's injury status unclear and veteran left tackle Chad Clifton still sidelined, the Packers continue to tinker with their offensive line going into Sunday's game at Kansas City. - Tamba Hali?
Packers LT Marshall Newhouse vs. Chiefs ROLB Tamba Hali -- Newhouse is the presumptive starter for the ninth straight game in place of an injured Chad Clifton, but the second-year player's inconsistent performances created an unusual situation last time out. The late-season uncertainty of what is transpiring at the critical position of protecting QB Aaron Rodgers' blind side is unsettling with pass-rushing phenom Hali next up. The relentless Hali leads the Chiefs with nine sacks, including three in the last four games.
Newhouse moved to right guard in the second half when Evan Dietrich-Smith, who has been the starting replacement for Sitton, slid over to center when Scott Wells was taken out.
The Raiders sacked Rodgers three times and finished the game with seven quarterback hits, including a sack of backup Matt Flynn for a safety in the fourth quarter.
But next up for the Packers is facing Kansas City's aggressive defensive front. The Chiefs have 10 sacks in the last two games.
"It's no slouch of a team, man," Packers left guard T.J. Lang said. "They've got a lot of talent, and they've got a lot to play for with the new coach (Romeo Crennel) this week.
DE Ryan Pickett, who like Saine suffered a concussion in the last game and didn't practice this week, was ruled out for Sunday
LB Desmond Bishop (calf), the team's other starter on the inside, will miss a third straight game. Rookie D.J. Smith is likely to make another start with Bishop out.
The Packers spanked the Denver Broncos 49-23 at Green Bay on Oct. 2, on a day when Green Bay's defense intercepted Orton three times and produced four takeaways. The turnovers were big since Orton otherwise did an adequate job in exploiting the Packers' pass defense for 273 yards and three touchdowns.
I expect KC to step it up this week and cover the huge home underdog spread of 14

Wallace also knows the offense Pat Shurmur is coaching because it is the one the Seahawks ran when Browns president Mike Holmgren coached Seattle. Wallace said he knows it better than the one he tried to adjust to last year when Brian Daboll was offensive coordinator and Eric Mangini was head coach.
"I don't think we'll miss a beat," Cribbs said of Wallace getting the start this week in place of the injured McCoy. "I think Seneca is very capable of stepping in and keeping the ball rolling. He's focused. He knows what he has to do and does a good job at it.
"He has a calm attitude and we love him. We know he has the ability to get the job done. We're going to rally around him if he's the starter this week."
The Browns are coming into this game off losses but looking at the Browns last 5 games they lost to St. Louis by one bc a missed fg at the last second, Beat the Jags, lost to Cincy by 3 in a game they possibly could have won outright, then played the steelers and ravens. Now they play a team with a terrible defense with all their Rbs healthy, all their WRs healthy, and a running QB at the helm that Holmgren has said has a chance to maybe even win the job.
Browns coach Pat Shurmur said that the team will use Sunday's game against the Cardinals as data for their post-season evaluation of whether Colt McCoy is their quarterback of the future.![]()
