Let's not even mention how easy their run to the SB was.  Outside of the GB game, they had a pretty easy run.  Falcons are awful on the road.  Easy win.  Then after GB they didn't have to go to NO again where they would have likely gotten trounced again.  Instead they get to go to the inept Niners, whom they should've lost to.  Gimme a break.

Just watch them play and it is obvious that Peyton is (was) the better quarterback. Eli had a couple of great runs, but as far as regular seasons go he has never had better than 63% completions and only once had ab t.d.:int ratio better than 2:1....and that was 21-10. Eli has been a part of two SB teams while Peyton has only been a part of 1. That is the only place Eli is better. Please do not confuse that one stat with the better QB.

If you look up past SB chanpions, they do not list Peyton or Eli. They list the teams that won. It is a team sport, players do not win.

Marino with 0 rings is better than Eli with 2!

All I know is the bottom line. And when push comes to shove ( the playoffs) who has the better record? You can't argue that or did Joe Montana get lucky because he played for a system that fit his skill set. Bottom line is Eli gets the job done more than his brother and that is the facts. Playoff record is better, more SB rings, and in general a much more clutch qb. I could care less how many int's Eli throws in the regular season, he's got more championships than almost everyone else's favorite qb that is arguing this point. Like I said before, how many qb's got lucky twice? Yes, Peyton is the better REGULAR season qb of the two, but wouldn't you rather have your team have the best chance to win a championship?

What was the Giants D ranked this year? And you really think the Giants had an easy run to the Superbowl, but I'm being a prisoner of the moment? Smoked the Falcons, beat the odds on favorite in the Packers and beat one of the best d's in San Fran. Let's not get it twisted, I'm not even a Giants fan, but I have to give credit where credit is due. You can tell me all of Peyton's great stats during the REGULAR season, but I will take a winner every time over someone who just gets you there. And I guess it's Eli's fault that his defense is better I mean that's ridiculous. Isn't Peyton barely .500 in the playoffs? This isn't even worth an argument anymore. I guess that garbage D doesn't matter in the REGULAR season, huh? It must not because the people that are backing him say that you are a moron to think that another qb that has a MUCH better winning % in the playoffs, more championships, and less excuses could be better than the REGULAR season champ Peyton.

Eli had one great season this year, and one great playoff run 4 years ago...

Peyton has had 14 great seasons 

Eli's getting closer, but Peyton is the better qb through his career so far...much easier to judge when both careers have been completed, its fun to debate, but inconclusive until then.

Just because one qb has more super bowl wins than another doesnt mean he is better.

Is Trent Dilfer better than Dan Marino?

Defense wins championships, and Eli's been the beneficiary of a much better defense to back him than Peyton.

Personally, i think and have said for years peyton manning is the best qb i have ever seen as far as his individual performance.  Joe Montana, Tom Brady and John Elway are the only other ones i would consider.  I cannot speak on ones from the 70s and earlier because i did not see them play.

1. Peyton 
2. Montana
3. Elway
4. Brady
5. Young
6. Marino

Now guys like Aikman, Roethlisberger and Eli do not even come close to this list.  Those 6 are such in a class by themselves its not even close..its too early for guys like rodgers and brees and eli for that matter to be considered.

we live in a world where its what have you done for me lately.  eli played great and i love that he won me a lot of money, and the ball he put on manningham was flat out sick, but that doesnt make him better than those listed to me.

just my opinion.  oh yeah i forgot brett favre, he's somewhere behind those 6.  the difference of brett only winning one super bowl to peyton is the fact that brett single handedly cost his team numerous games with his style, including on the grandest of stages to go to a super bowl.  while the colts defense cost peyton at least one more.

  Dan Marino is the best quarterback I have ever seen, and Peyton Manning is in that discussion along with Brady. You need multiple things to win Super Bowls, and Marino never had those necessary ingredients.
  John Elway would also be ringless if not for having the best player in football on his team (TD) and a top flight defense. A Super Bowl cannot be won alone (even with the greatest quarterback ever)

I agree whole heartedly that you need multiple things to win a Superbowl, but nobody, and I repeat nobody has gotten 2 Superbowl rings with things just falling into place for them such as Trent Dilfer. There have been 46 of them played somebody please tell me who the lucky qb to win multiple rings was, because I can't think of one. Or is this just a case of the random probability of some lucky schmuck who has had a good defense just finally coming to fruition. I'm sure the people who think Peyton is better will say that it is. I'm pretty sure the Niners had a better D than the Giants did this year. If memory serves me correctly I think the Packers had a better D than the Giants back in '07 for the first SB run. The point is that he has beaten teams with better defense's to get the hardware and it just seems to me that Peyton falls short more than he should in the big games. (Although he looks better throughout the REGULAR season) That is my argument that he isn't one of the all time greats, but just very good.

Nothing embarassing about just saying the facts. You thinking that Peyton is better in the big games than Eli is your opinion, but it is not matched by the stats and you know it. I don't know why I should be embarassed, because so far no one has challenged me on it, because they can't dispute the facts. Playoff records don't lie, the only thing that could be disputed is the defenses that each has, everything else speaks for itself.

That's the whole point my man, there are always the "ifs" with Peyton. If he had Eli's defense, If Eli lost would people be saying these things about Eli, If Peyton had the weapons that Eli does. It's not on a single game playoff performance. We are talking multiple playoff games for both qb's, and frankly the numbers in the clutch in the PLAYOFFS are not even close. Eli doesn't have to say what if because now he has 2, and yeah he will be in the HOF it's already a done deal unless he doesn't play anymore. I'm pretty sure no qb with 2 Superbowl rings has not made the HOF, but correct me if I'm wrong. Seriously, like I said before I'm not even a Giants fan, but I can tell you honestly I would rather have him as my qb with the game on the line in the playoffs, or the Superbowl than his brother. And its not even close to me. Yes Peyton is going to get you in the playoffs, but its 50/50 at best for him in big games
