Well, now that the election is long over, I think I have an answer to my original question when I posted this.
ELECTIONS ARE FAR MORE DIFFICULT TO PREDICT THAN FOOTBALL GAMES. THERE ARE 120,000,000 MOVING PARTS in a national election, one for each voter. The correct bet was on Trump with perfect hindsight ... but the fact that he was -900 at one point means few believed it was remotely possible for him to defeat crooked Hillary. In one of the proudest moments in US history, the people stood up, looked corruption straight in its face, and kicked it's behind! I'm prouder than ever to be an American after election 2016!!!
