They're gonna have to blitz Cam, and probably with a spy.  And I hope and pray they crowd the line of scrimmage.  That would mean single man coverage on those receivers.  Denver doesn't have a LB who can cover Olson 1v1 and if they put a saftetyon him that's just music to my ears... Ginn and funchess over the top all day long.  Yes please....  And let's not just assume Denver is gonna shut down Carolina's run game.  No one has so far.  And far less efficient teams have been able to have success against Denver

Ist Score of game...Car other score 20-1 $100  (I can see a kick return or defensive TD or safety)

    1st TD: Ginn 12-1, Funchess 20-1   $100 Each

Will add more as the props come out on my book

I really like the Car -10.... Surprised they didn't add the hook.

Ballsy bet with the Denver no td.  If this thing turns into a blowout which it could, they'd have lots of garbage time to get ya.  But, if this thing is close, could be a fg fest for them... Interesting

Exactly...I am not taking everything away from Denvers D, but they only played 3 teams with a top 13 offense this year...

Carolina played 9, and only allowed 8 points less

Denver looks very good against Qbs who stand in one spot, will be much different next week when they cant fly around the outside like they did against Brady

Denver looks very good against Qbs who stand in one spot, will be much different next week when they cant fly around the outside like they did against Brady

Newton was sacked on a higher percentage of his drop backs than stationary QB's like Brady and Big Ben this year, and lost more yards per sack than the two as well in the case of Brady over two yards per sack.

I'm just going to say this one more time... Denver's d is going to look night and day difference than it has the past two playoff games because of one big reason...

    Carolina's running game.

They will run the ball.  They will slow down the pass rush and they will have success on play action.   The difference in this game will come down to Denver's O vs Carolina's D.  If they can score and sustain drives and keep the Panthers from playing bump and run and crowding the box, they have a good chance.... but I'm literally going to pay to see it happen

Broncos + the 6 without a doubt. Who is Cam going to throw to when Denver stops the run game? How is he going to react when he is pressured to perform at a level equal to Petyon on the big stage? Cam will have his chance... just not his year...

There is a reason why Vegas has them favored... the public jumps all over it. People are absolutely blinded by Championship games. I guarantee the same people who put money for the Panthers are the same people who took Oregon over Ohio State in 2014.

Wow nice to read a tread that talks about football reasons as to who may win or cover in this game.No "stop wasting your money this game winner has been decided by those lurking in the shadows" crap.Agree with most of what was said.Car. offence is a problem for this Den. dee,it may be their only weakness. That being said Car. will have to perform and not let the pressure of the moment get to them.good luck to all.

Is that what people say every week about Carolina?

What makes you think Denver will stop the run?  Because Pats couldnt do it?  Because Pitt couldnt do it?  They dont run the ball..

Denver hasnt seen on offense like this all year...

Did you know, Carolina has rushed for 100+ yds in 33 straight games...do you know how many times that has happened since the merger??  3....yes only 3 times

Its amazing how people think this Denver defense is so amazing...like i have said in so many threads...they faced ONLY 3 teams who ranked in the top 13 this entire season

This might be one of the most ignorant statements I've read so far this season.  At least that aren't about the games being fixed....

This amazes me....  "Who is Cam going to throw to when Denver stops the run game?"
First, why are you assuming they aren't gonna run the ball.  Like Packers said, they've done it to EVERYBODY ELSE.  Secondly, Cam is gonna throw the ball to the exact same ppl that have been torching everybody for big plays since Carolina started this roll.  Seriously, if you underestimate those receivers now, you are just a fool.

How is he going to react when he is pressured to perform at a level equal to Petyon on the big stage?
Is the big stage gonna magically turn Manning into a brand new qb.  Cuz as of this moment he's a game manager.  Cam is going to out play Manning is every which way possible.  Even on Cam's worst day he couldn't stoop to the low level Manning is at right now, goodness.

There is a reason why Vegas has them favored...
Finally, you said something that makes sense.  You just don't understand what it actually means.... Let me help you... Vegas made Carolina a fave because
     They     Are     A     Better     Team

I'd offer you luck but it isn't gonna help

according to teamrankings.com, which has slightly different numbers than nfl.com and others:

Denver has the #1 ranked D in rush yards per game and #1 in rush yards per attempt.

Carolina has the #2 ranked O in rush yards per game, but only #11 in per attempt.

I think the fact that Denver hasn't faced a running team in these playoffs has perhaps made people forget that they are great against the run.

I guess Cam is the X factor, as Denver hasn't seen anything like him  this year, but why do we assume that means Cam will be able run like always, instead of Denver's great run D and great pass rush being able to stop him??

I would like to add to this that Carolina is ranked #23 in yards per play in away games this year, and #15 in yards per game away.  They are a different team when not at home.  I just don't see why people think they will dominate in this game, away from their home crowd, where they typically dominate..

    First time poster, long-time lurker.

I feel like this is Seattle/Denver all over again. Denver is certainly marching to the Superbowl with a much better defense than they took into the game last time, so I think it will be a closer game. I see Carolina wearing out the defense late as the Denver offense struggles with repeated 3 and outs.

Two late scores by Carolina to put it away at 35-10.

Stats are so misleading....here is why

Denver has the #1 rush D, correct but maybe here is why...here are the teams they played this year and their rushing rank in the NFL

    Balt #26
    KC #6
    Det #32
    Minn #4
    Oak #28
    Clev #22
    GB #12
    Indy #29
    KC #6
    Chic#11
    NE #30
    SD #31
    Oak #28
    Pitt #16
    Cinncy #13
    SD #31

They faced only 2 teams who ranked in the top 10 in rushing
They faced only 4 teams in the top 16
They also faced the worst 4 team, 2 twice

It is pretty easy to rank #1 in rishing D, when 12 of your 16 games are against teams who rank 20 or worse

Care to share more on this ridiculous statement?

Also, you should probably do a bit more research on Denver. Your first post stated that Denver blitzed like crazy against NE, which is absolutely FALSE. They bitzed at 14% that game, well below their season 35%ish average.

My point is that Wade Phillips completley changed their entire defensive gameplan for Brady. They have had 2 weeks to do the same for Cam.
