Said I would come in after the game to eat crow but I will say this if gambling Dan kicks the fg to put them back up 27-10 when it was 24-10 instead of going on 4th and 2 it would have kept the pressure on SF instead he let the MOMENTUM switch and that was the ball game wrong team won that game.

At least 2 field goals should have been kicked that wasnt I’d fire him in a heartbeat he’s done this all season.

It was a dumb decision that didn’t pay off. He’s had some go his way but that was regular season and points are a at premium in the playoffs.  

F that not kicking the fg when you in fg range and behind by 3.  Thats when they really lost!

But if 49ers get a TD they will be up 10 points.

You cant score 10 points with only one possesion.

 One of the worst coaching jobs I have ever seen in a conference championship game . I feel bad for the Detroit players .. they deserved the win … but Campbell it is hard to even come up with any words as to how bad his coaching was.

Should have been up 27-10 and SF would have still been under tremendous pressure and they would have been strictly pass and allow Detroit DL pin their ears. Game was lost when they didn’t.

@ Ppkay Your wrong there was 8 mins left in the third if he kicks the fg instead of going for it 4th and 2 they are up 27-10 3 score game SF gets the stop and the MOMENTUM switch the game was over.

@ msucurt Yup SF didn't win the game gambling Dan handed it to them on a gold platter (usually you say a silver platter) but it was such a screw up he did it on a gold platter. SF won but the Detroit players deserved it and their damn coach gave it away.

Staley of the Chargers got himself fired over his tenure because he was doing the same thing Campbell is doing. Always going for it on 4th down.

Coaches can gamble all they want in the regular season there is always tomorrow when you are in the NFC championship game use your damn noodle there is no tomorrow kick the damn fg just so damn stupid.

Momentum is so important when you have it on the road in a big game and after his bad decisions , they never got it back!!!!

Seems like Dan got a big payday from someone to lose this game on purpose you can sense it 

Guy is not comfortable sweating out games. No patience. He gambles to end them early and loses.

 

Compared to a coach like Sean Payton or Reid. Correctly take the points and move on.

Have to play smarter in the playoffs, it's do or die, this is not the regular season where you have other games and opportunities still left. Hopefully he'll learn but he should have kicked both FGs IMO.

Definitely a shame he had to make them bad decisions.
