 Do you ever buy off key numbers in the nfl such as this game buying the hook to make the rams -3 ? i know the juice is pricey but a lot of games are decided by 3 points in the nfl like last nights game was.

On my site I can buy the Rams from -3.5 down to -3, but it takes the price from around -112 to -150. So I’m basically laying almost 40 cents of extra juice just to protect myself against the game landing exactly 3.

I rarely buy points in football. I try to avoid laying unnecessary juice whenever possible because over the long haul that shit adds up

I just put these in. I’ll explain why I played them in a second. My limits on player props are really fucking small, so these aren’t anything major. I’m just showing you what I bet.

Williams averaged 15.2 carries per game last season and got to at least 13 carries in 13 of 17 games. Against San Francisco, his last five carry totals are 14, 14, 29, 24 and 14, so this 12.5 number would have gone over all five times.

The only concern is Corum taking a little more of the workload, but 13 carries is still a pretty low bar if the Rams play the game we expect.

I also like Williams over 56.5 rushing yards. He averaged 73.6 per game last year and went over this number in 14 of 17. Against San Francisco last season he had 65 and 73 yards, and he’s gone over 56.5 in four of his last five against them.

It’s the first Thursday NFL game of the year and they’re playing the fucking thing in Australia. Nobody really knows exactly how this is going to play out.

You put in the work, handicap the matchup, trust what you see and hope for the best. That’s really all you can do.

In about an hour, everybody’s opinion gets put to the test and the game will tell us who was right.

Agree.  That’s why I posted FH over. Same basis as you looking at the past matchups. Hopefully games goes over FH bc Karen broke off a 60 yarder then they milk the clock at the end

The Rams aren’t some cheap operation. Their owner is legitimately rich, and Sean McVay didn’t just wake up and decide to land in Australia a day before kickoff.

They sent people over months ago, tested the travel, tracked sleep and recovery, adjusted practice times back home, and built the whole plan around keeping the players on their LA body clocks.

Kickoff in Australia basically feels like late afternoon to them. McVay’s thinking is simple why completely flip your body clock for one game, then fly home and have to flip it all over again

You can disagree with the strategy, but this wasn’t some fucking guess. They did the homework.

Bengals 10, Rams 24
Jaguars 7, Rams 35

If this works again, everybody is going to call McVay sharp for handling the travel this way.

If it falls flat, they’ll talk about the late arrival for the next two weeks like it was the dumbest idea in football.

Truth is, nobody really knows exactly how these body clocks are going to react. The Rams did the homework, picked their approach and now we find out if it was the right one.
