I've got an idea. How about capping the game with your own knowledge instead of making a play based on line movement? Do you really trust the sharps with your money? They lose like everyone else. Remember when the Cowboys line moved 2.5-3 points in week 1 against San Francisco? How did that bet turn out? And, the beat goes on. Just cap the game, man.
Not sure anybody here is specifically basing their plays based on line movement, but its definitely a big enough jump to warrant a thread on it.
I find line movement bets much more useful for MLB than football

Beating the spread is about line movement not capping. I hit 12-13 SU at the William hills contest. But I'm 6-4 at the LVH super contest vs the spread. You statement is square.

Home field advantage is a myth. Some teams range from -1 to + 6home field advantage. Do your home work.
The industry standard these days is 2.5 points for home-field advantage in the NFL , teams such as the Packers, Patriots and 49ers are typically given a full field goal while the Broncos and Saints are closer to 3.5.
The Seahawks are often given four points by most handicappers ..
So who is good enough to get -6 as a starting point ?
Do your homework and let me know ..

Insider Info Pegula put largest bet in history on BUFFALO at Ceasers Sports Book The Wynn and the Hilton Sports Books which had a move the line big time. HE BET 1.4 BILLION ON THEM
The Bet is the Buffalo Bills There D and ST is serious. RB's are the real deal and Wr have more potential, speed and skills than most of people realize and give them credit for. SD was in my eyes and no proof that I said it but I shure as hell knew SD was going to pull one off at home and shock everyone there was no doubt in my mind they win. Coming cross country 2 teams amped and feeling great it should be a good game it will show on the field the trip SD has to take to BUFF its the Bills job to jump on them early get to Rivers early pressure will be huge that opens up the door for turnovers by SD. The Bills will run the Ball and try to control TOP thats critical keeping the offense on the field and scoring TD in red zone. Consistency is key if Buff keeps playing how they have the spread makes complete sense, I think they look better than I have ever seen them In at least a decade.(which isn't saying much haha)
Now they overlook a very underrated team who has something to prove, aggression, faith in the TEAM, Security of not leaving BUFFALO, the fans rocked in the Ralph sunday and finally everything seems to be moving in the right direction. I have a lot more input on this game from someone who really watches and pays attention to the Bills as a huge fan I'm biast but putting that aside I really think they shock everyone again.

Line movement is a 50% proposition, thus there is no real value in trying to interpret it. I see people every year on this site worried about were the public and where the sharps money is on....and some weeks you beat the public and some weeks you sleep with the fishes. 50/50. Ultimately, it is futile to worry about it. Worry about what you know, and by that I dont simply mean stats and trends. Use your brain and your eyes, but dont let either fool you into thinking you are infallable.
Obviously, if a line goes from -10 to -1 and youve been in a coma and dont know why, you should investigate.....

SBR is all online gaming. The spread changes on sharps in LV with the books. Real sharps don't go online.
This is the dumbest thing i have ever read on covers which is saying alot! If you think these so called "sharps" dont bet online and only bet in Vegas you are sorely mistaken. Who would bet alot of money laying -110 when online you can lay -105 or less?? ANyone better that takes this seriously bets online period

On that site the spread with the pie graph which team is in blue which team is in red? If you think this line is fishy and I read it correctly 88% is on Dallas and they move from -1 to +1?

Are you on crack? Inside info give me a break. The game is played on the field. The Chargers have been the best underdog in the league since 2003,
amassing a 42-28-4 spread record when getting points. They went 7-2-1
as a dog last season. This is a quarterback driven league, who would you want under center? I think Chargers by 10.

One trend I read about this afternoon is that Buffalo is 2-22 ATS after defeating Miami. Not sure how to take that, but possible let down after defeating divisional opponent??

What's even funnier is that this is the very first sentence on thespread site: "The following feature monitors wagering activity at many of the largest online sportsbooks." hmm, what's an "online sportsbook"??
