i'll give you the saints as the one solid team, everyone else was at or below .500 just like the lions.

Last year was last year buddy. Hence why it's last year. falcons were a 500 team now they are below, i would not call a 500 team good.

I guess beating a team that has won 92% of their home games the last 3 years doesnt qualify, I would like to see what does???

I dont care what the records are, beating the #1 and #2 seeds ON THE ROAD in the first 5 weeks of the next year is impressive....

Good wins are season defining wins against teams that could keep you from post season glory. So far the packers have only beaten one team that has a shot at the playoffs. The lions have beaten none.

Where as other teams have beaten teams that have playoff chances, don't worry about it, it's only the first 5 weeks of the season, but basing a win being a good win in a current season off of the past 3 years is pretty ignorant especially with all the changes that happen each year.

You're teams good wins will come Vince don't worry about it.

The lions actually get their first possible playoff contender next week in the 49ers, they pretty much got the west on lock this year.

Beat a playoff team from last year

I'm not sure if we can put anything on last year.  The Lions just beat the Bears, they were in the playoffs last year.  Everything is about the past. Last i checked Bart Starr isnt coming out throwing TD passes and Barry Sanders is making spectacular TD runs so lets focus on this year.  Both teams are 5-0 and if you are betting on them you are making money. We will find out when they play on Thanksgiving in week 12 who is the better team.  Really we will have to see what happens in the playoffs because last year we beat the Pack 7-3 then they get a backdoor into the playoffs and end up winning the whole thing.  Stafford or Rodgers could go down next week and then where would either one of these teams be.  All i can say is bet these teams while they are winning and make some money.  Lastly, born and raised in Michigan and i can finally say. GO LIONS!!!! 5-0 and no one can take it away.

Lions have the longest streak of wins in the nfl right now... point blank.  To count the playoffs wouldn't be a fair comparison of games played... since that would include 5 games the lions did not play...

check that 4 games the lions did not play.

detroit lions play their game plan first half and lose every time and throw away the game plan in the second half and play street ball i think there going nowhere the way they play.

What he is forgetting is the last game against the Pack in Detroit when the Pack had to win trying to win the North last year which by the way they did not win but in the last game Detroit beat the Pack 7-3.  Yep a hell of a football team they scored all of three pts against those lowly Lions.  Can't wait till Turkey day this year.  If you think it was loud in the Dome last night wait till the last Thursday in Novermber this year.  By the way if that little pip squeak Cutler dosen't have the game of his life last night it ends up 24-0.    Cutler came close to getting himself killed last night.  One last thing that was Farileys first game last night wait till he gets his head wrapped around the NFL game.   Come on Turkey day.

Its called NFL.COM you go there and click on the Lions roster it will list all the players and position.  I tried listing the players a few weeks ago and all it got was more LIONS hatred.

Just so you know, football doesn't give last or first place schedules anymore. You play mostly against other divisions.  NFC North plays obviously in their division + AFC West & NFC South I believe this year with a sprinkle of leftover fill in games for the rest of the schedule.

I am not sure how you cannot count 4 ROAD playoff wins, including the SUPERBOWL in a winning streak just because Detroit sucked too bad to have the same opportunity. you have the longest regular season win streak, yes. but GB ha the longest win streak overall. the opportunity of having 4 more games in that span is irrelevant. and if you want to take a poll of every neutral football fan in the world, they will say Green Bays winning streak is far more impressive. thats like the best athlete at the special olympics claiming he has more olympic gold medals than michael phelps.

Looking at your schedule...if you guys arent atleast 9-1 or 10-0 when you play the Pack on Thanksgiving your team is terrible...The only tough game you have is SF at home....

Would love to see both the Pack and Det to be undefeated on Thanksgiving....Pack would be -6 and I would empty every account and max every local with the Pack....

You are extremely sad.  You also said we are yet to beat a team that made the playoffs last year.  But we beat the Chiefs 48-3 and they made the playoffs.

You said we are yet to beat a team with a winning record.  Lets see here....

The Cowboys are 2-2, but they are 2-1 against everyone except for us.

Tampa Bay is 3-2, but are 3-1 against all teams except us.


And guess what????  Those wins were on the ROAD.



Now we just handled another division opponent easily.


Leave it to a Packers fan to talk shit for no reason.  I swear to God you fans are the most arrogant dumbasses of all-time. 

I love the Packers fans they beat us 28-26 with the Lions driving for the go ahead score last year at Green Bay.   And they scored all of 3 Pts in the fifth last game of the schedule and we beat them 7-3.  Sure they have improved from last year but i think we are a touch better than last year especially with the addition of Fairley on the D Line.  Wait till he as played a few games he seemed a little out of sync last night.

The other thing is unless we go 16-0 beat the Packers twice this year and sweep the playoffs including the Super Bowl we will still just be the over hyped Lions.

It is to early for "other" people to believe...  It just cannot be possible the Lions good after all these years... People are still in the shock and awe stage they will come out of it sooner or later. 

After we beat the packers they will cry and complain about a missed call or this or that... but eventually the country will have to realize this team is legit.
