MarkDogg...I totally agree.  I incorporate public perception in my handicapping. Obviously, it isn't 100% but,every week I find wagers where I go against public perception and I usually cash. Here is the link to my thread for the Seattle/Philly game:

A perfect example of public misperception is the Chargers. In the last 6 games they are 0-6 SU & ATS. And, sure enough the linesmakers make the Chargers a road favorite again...UNBELIEVABLE!!!! What's going to be even more unbelievable is that bettors will still back this horrible team again this week. Vegas cleans up on games like these. Like I said, it isn't 100% but, you will lose more games than you win if you keep backing situations like this.

the only way I play the personal perception role is if there is a new qb.   What this does is that the perception of a winning record is still in the minds of the public but those winning records or not has been made by vick. 

If new qb, put all stats aside to see the picture as the whole. 

Houston is starting a 3rd string yates this week and I kid you not, there are still people backing up houston due to this perception factor of the houston record, made by their injuried starting qb. 

Did I just say atl is an auto win?  I hope I did not jinx myself...

 Has more to do with the line..........philly -3 @ seattle was a joke..........but who was the more popular team of the 2 losers? .........philly...........media had to play it up to justify a shitty matchup in primetime............millions more wouldve jumped on philly as a 3pt dog than a fav...........& books cant risk that.............but the real line should've had the Seahawks favored.

so what you are saying is that the line is a trap for me in houston with a yates qb and against an all equip atl team?   80% of the money is on atl...I think I'm screwed but even with a loss, at least I know that I am betting on the better QB. 

-3 for atl, that line is asking for trouble...

See this is what I mean about perception.Houston was in the same spot last with Lienhart.The perception was they would beat and cover vs Jacks and they did.

Perception Houston are still good with a backup QB and beat Jacks perception won.

The perception was on Buffalo that they are still a good team  vs the Jets last week and the covered.

The same perception that was this week on Philly vs NYG and they covered.Public perception won.

The public perception of GB betting them every week that they cant lose  and they just keep rolling.Public perception winning

The public perception that INDY stinks and are a fade!Carolina will win.Public perception winning

The public perception of NE betting them every week and they just keep blowing out teams.Public perception winning



You see I can give you examples of public perception killing it!!Also theres perceptions not killing it.I will guarantee you if u put every perception game on here it will be no more than 55% one way or the other.Because if the perception angle were true yo should be fading GB,NE,NO everyweek and you should be on INDY.

Be careful on this one.  Houston is a good overall team with a strong running game & defense, so it's not a 1 man show with just the qb.  Yates in a game management role is still a solid scenario for the texans, and the falcons still look iffy and unable to put together complete games.

Markdogg guys is a really good capper..........I think the timing of when this thread was made is what pissed some people off. I think perception is 50/50. You can justify either side you agree on, but in reality guys we all in this to make money. And markdogg has put his money where his mouth is............gl guys
