Ok I can remember on two hands the amount of times things became sketchy. Meaning, I really had no part in the fact that they rang up their bill. I never went like a thug onto someone elses property and DEMANDED money. Is what happens is THEY think it may become violent so one dude hit me square in the mouth and knocked me out cold. Is all I wanted to do was ask why he was'nt answering his phone. We never went to get that kind of money alone. I am 6 feet 185 pounds, and hey, I aint much. On another occasion a guy sicked his pitbull on me and the damn thing ripped open my arm - I made it out, as did my associate.
Both of those occasions happened because THEY panicked and not me. Both of those occasions I don't know what happened to them afterwards because if I knew what happened I could only be a liability (rat). I had no interest in knowing, I will guaruntee you that. On another occasion that a guy avoided us we knocked on his door several times and it was his wife every fuckin time; on the 8th or 9th visit we said, 'fuck it, we'll wait for em'. He came back 3 days later with enough money to buy a new car, let's just put it that way.
I was not around good people and I was'nt a good person myself. I was 20 years old and was simply introduced to people that said there is one way to run this ship, the hard way or don't do it. I was given a choice and I took it like a punk who thought the world was ahead of em. We were actually making money though, as opposed to 95% of the people who bet.
Maine? On the coast it's a damn goldmine if you hustle because it's straight cash from lobstermen, clammers, other fishermen, the tradesmen having lunch by the water, and around 5 colleges in the area. Although I'm sure most people think it's far removed from culturized society, I was only a 60-75 minute drive from Boston. By the way, it's cool as shit in the summer, I suggest Kennebunk Beach...
I can't keep repeating myself, so I'll say it clearer to the point that I missed on page 1. Of course you can make money in a season. Like i said, the guys that compounded their problems were a) chasing favorites, and b) paying late (which is 2 points/week and a bad credit). If you know football, have a thousand bucks, and can keep it to 200/week (at best), you have a shot. If you risk most, or all, you're dead in the water.
P.S. I had no idea these ways were old school until I measured the risk against the law, bet with money I needed to report, and wagered online. 45k in a 20 yo hands is dangerous. I blame myself and I 'got high on my own supply', as-it-were; no drugs or alcohol involved. Now pushing 35 and back to square one. GL all of you....
