David Akers, the 9ers kick was ALL-GALACTIC last year. (For those of you that don't know, All-Galactic is better than All-Solar System, which is better than All-Universe, which is better than All-World.) He had a garbage year this year. But the bar was set so high after a 44 FG year the previous year, you had to expect a dropoff. You can't expect to hit 44/52 every year. With a good offense, you shouldn't even be trying 52 attempts.......
I'm sure this will be in the back of Harbaughs' mind. Of the two coaches, which one do you think will try a trick play first? I can see Kaepernick doing a punt outta shotgun formation (not much of a trick, but I think it gets better). I think Harbaugh will see Akers as a weakness, and an opportunity to do something different
Jim Harbaugh is a master of coming up with various formations for what he wants. After Green Bay, the Falcons made sure Kap didn't run for 180 yards. Congrats, Atlanta. 
Kap had 21 yds on two carries (only ONE designed run), but 3 other 9er rbs combined for 128 yards.
One thing I just noticed was that last week, Kap had 233 yds passing, and Flacco 240. I mean, for a "passing" league, not a lot of yds for the division champs........
I think the Niners have better tight ends. I pity the fool trying to defend Boldin. When he catches a ball, it stays caught. Can't say the same for the Niner wideouts (see Crabby coughing it up at the one vs. Atl-look, I know he was trying to score, but just be smart!)
What is the mindset for the Qbs going into the Super Bowl? Kap is just dumb enough to where he has no worries. Says he's been doing this "all his life"..............okay.
Meanwhile, Flacco is playing for a contract. He's going to be rich ot matter what, but I think it's human nature for him to think "If I win SB MVP, that's really gonna make it rain!"
or "I've got to make sure we win for Ray"
or "There people that don't think I'm an Elite Qb"
