In an otherwise EVENLY played game, Falcons 3 net turnovers cost them the game as a home fav.

The Browns ended the first half with only 54 yards of offense and just one first down.

Watson didn't complete a pass that traveled more than 5 air yards in the first two quarters, and Cleveland couldn't capitalize after their 3rdQ  touchdown drive, turning the ball over on downs twice.

Zona was a 95 yard kick return

and a 2 point conversion from covering 

at the Bills...

Yep.  Despite giving up that long KO ret and more negative penalty yards, Bills still modestly outplayed the Cards to earn their win.

PATS and Bungles played fairly close to even, but the 2 net T's cost Cinci the game.

Final game stats heavily favor the DOLPHINS, but it all turned at one crucial point in the 3rdQ, with Jags leading 17 - 7 and driving deep downfield again, virtually at will....  Just as JAGUARS were about to extend their lead to 24 - 7, a fumble near the goalline gave the lucky Dolphins the ball. They scored a fortunate 80 yd TD on the next play - making it only a 3 pt game, instead of being down 17 - and the momentum swung over to Miami immediately, completely changing the outcome.

The game was close largely because Colts got a huge break with a rare blocked punt down to the 5 yd line and scored easily on the next play.

  San Francisco won't have STAR McCaffrey for Week 1 as a result of the calf/Achilles injury that he's dealt with since early August.

The team will turn to Jordan Mason out of the backfield, with Isaac Guerendo and Patrick Taylor on hand for any reps that linger.

With Packer's QB out with a strained knee, it seems likely that Malik Willis will start versus Indianapolis.

Willis only joined the Packers via trade from the Titans in the last week of August, so the 2022 third-round pick presumably isn't yet fully acclimated to his new offensive scheme. That could result in Green Bay deploying a run-heavy attack headlined by Josh Jacobs on Sunday.

Not household names.  Maybe some day, but they're likely to be much less effective without their star back.

I would guess no.

Could be a key.  No threat of the Jets QB as a runner....we will see.

Both teams almost equally banged up.

However, Niners have superior receivers, and a better defense.

Plus, they are on homefield facing an aging QB who hasn't played since 2022.

 Hi.  Not at the moment, as I want to see how the SF offense plays without McCaffrey, and how Aaron plays for Jets (assuming he doesn't get injured again) through much of the first quarter and into the second Q..... But my belief is 49ers should be ready to prevail.

Of course anything can happen in football to quickly change direction, as we witnessed in a few games on Sunday, including both my leans which scored luck-aided wins.

But the JETS put together an impressive drive passing to score 7

At some point, I expect 49ers to unleash their passing game.
