All 3 of these guys cemented their place in the Hall of Fame after this series without a doubt. Before this they were all great players...but lacked the title to bring it all together. Very happy for KG and Allen for having the opportunity to come to a great team after suffering through many years of average teams. Paul Pierce has officially vaulted into the Top 3 Celtics of all-time in my mind...behind obviously Larry and Bill Russell. Just a great player, always underrated.

As a Laker fan you just hate to see Boston win another title. But with Pierce, Garnett and Allen on the Celtics, its just hard to be anything but happy for those guys. Coach Rivers also.

I've had a few days to let it settle in...watched the parade, heard all the analysis, and have fully come to terms that the team I've bled with my entire life has finally won a championship.
I'm incredibly happy mostly for Paul Pierce, who has been through the roughest times, and the so-called best times with the Celtics. Ray Allen mentioned on several occasions how happy he was to come back to New England and win a title with the Celtics. Good for him, as he played with some good team in Seattle, some good team in Milwaukee, but never really had that extra talent to push him over the top. Garnett was obviously the focal point of Minnesota for his entire career where they were always a contender, but like Allen never had that key component to push him over the top.
What we witnessed this year was three veteran superstars coming together and busting their butts on every single play of every single game. It was a memorable season that will go down as one of the most successful of all-time.
As for next year, it will be very difficult to repeat. Once you reach the top at this point of your career, it is almost impossible to stay at that level. The good thing is that all these guys are such intense competitors that you know they have a damn good shot. Keep Posey and House will be the key. PJ Brown and Cassell will more than likely retire...Tony Allen won't be back as he's a free agent, and other than that the team should be about the same.

i actually thought going into the LA series that Boston needed to win this one because they wouldn't be able to beat LA with Bynum next year...
but after seeing the series, the more it played out i realized that the Celtics were simply out of LA's league... and that they need Bynum just to even have a chance...
Boston will definitely be the team to beat next year, and i don't know if LA will have enough to beat them when it's all said and done... i do know it will be a great series, though...
also, people still don't realize that this Celtics team is one of the truly great NBA championship teams... something we haven't seen (in my opinion) since the Bulls teams of the 90's... something about the Lakers teams of this decade just don't seem like they belong there... tough call on that one, though...
point is... next year is the year the Celtics will finally get the recognition they deserve, even if they lose the championship (which i don't think they will)... people will finally see them as the standard for defense and toughness in the NBA, and that everyone else is chasing them...

It will be very interesting to see how they use Gabe Pruitt next year. They may want to shop Eddie House around and get bigger inside and try and develop Pruitt as Rondo's backup
