How'd they fair in the playoffs?  Didn't pippen watch them get beat from the bench cause of a migrane that suddenly hit with 2 seconds to play?  Pippen was good but over rated, definately not top 50 of all time.  Although he did have a great run in Portland!

one player makes all the difference... when was the last time an NBA team won the NBA championship with just 1 superstar surrounded by role players?  think about it, guys... we're not talking rocket science here... why does everyone always get this shit wrong?

So only teams with a bunch of sduperstars win eh! what about San Antonio outside of Tim Duncan their werent any real super stars on that team that won the titles.

Its funny but I didnt hear any complaints going into the playoffs about the supporting cast, Cleveland was already being fitted for the title before they even hit the playoffs.

Excalty and look how fast it took for Jordan to go win another one when he came back.

thanks for proving my point here... the Spurs first title was won with David Robinson... sort of a decent player... and the rest were won with Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili, who were both All Stars on a regular basis, and during two of those championships Ginobili was widely regarded as the 3rd best player in the NBA...

you proved my point here... find the last team that won a title without AT LEAST 2 superstars on the team... meaning 2 guys who are both regulars on the All Star team... i can tell you it hasn't happened since the late 90's...

and for the record, as everyone around here knows... i was bashing the Cavs supporting cast since day 1, and i all but guaranteed that the Cavs could not win a title with that roster...

you were late to the party... not me!  but you can still learn from this... it is a very simple formula in the NBA, and history proves it works...

no team with only one Super Star is ever going to win an NBA title... EVER!  maybe back in the 70s or 80s that was possible, but never again... and if you can't tell that the Cleveland Cavaliers only have one superstar on their team... you do not belong in this game...

thanks for proving my point here... the Spurs first title was won with David Robinson... sort of a decent player... and the rest were won with Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili, who were both All Stars on a regular basis, and during two of those championships Ginobili was widely regarded as the 3rd best player in the NBA...

You forgot to mention perenial all stars Malik Rose,Sean Elliot,Brent Barry,Robert Horry,Glenn Robinson and Bruce Bowen.

If you did say they were overated fair enough im not disputign that I didnt think they were worthy but you cant deny Lebron gave up on this team even the commenators were shocked in game 6 by his lack of focus.

I never said they were of the same level just saying Anderson is a pretty good player and Lebron should have been able to work along with him, you make out like Lebron was playing alone when the Cavaliers earned the best record in the NBA,you just said it doesnt all come down one guy so where was all the other effort coming from.

come on dude... don't make statements like this unless you want me to rip into you... you are not talking to a 10 year old...

i said, no team will ever win a championship (and none has in recent memory) without only one Superstar...

obviously, every team has non Superstars on it... every team has role players...

seriously, i hate when i make a VERY CLEAR point and someone comes back and tries to change the argument to something ridiculous...

i don't really care if Lebron did give up... i play basketball... i have played a TON of basketball in my life... when you are on a team, and you give it everything you've got, but you aren't getting shit from your teammates, it eventually kills your spirit...

this thread PROVES that people need to get the fuck off of Lebron's back... idiots in here are comparing Anderson Varejao to Scottie Pippen, because they want to insist on crucifying Lebron... and yet every single comparison you want to make to Jordan or Kobe will ALWAYS come back with only one conclusion:

Lebron has never had a cast that is EVEN CLOSE (especially when you factor coaching) to what Jordan or Kobe had in ANY of their title runs...

    THAT IS AN UNDENIABLE FACT!

end this bullshit... the guy is not to blame for the horseshit job that Cleveland Cavaliers management did in assembling pieces around him... anybody with a clue about the NBA knows that they get an F- for their efforts... it is one of the biggest failure jobs i have ever seen in professional sports, from a management standpoint...

and yet 99% of you brainless fucks are blaming Lebron...

idiots!  learn how to watch the fucking game and maybe some of you will get a pick right once in awhile...

i already told you this... i said it before the playoffs...

this is a team that is built for regular season wins... and that is not worth shit!  you build teams that can win in the playoffs, and this team is not it... it is a joke of a roster, and i said that BEFORE THE PLAYOFFS!

maybe you should trust the person who saw this shit coming... huh?

if anything i think the cavs overachieved throughout the regular season and anyone could see something was not right with the team this whole series against boston., and even a few games against the bulls were close.,  enjoy., any feedback welcome

you proved my point here... find the last team that won a title without AT LEAST 2 superstars on the team... meaning 2 guys who are both regulars on the All Star team... i can tell you it hasn't happened since the late 90's...

you were late to the party... not me!  but you can still learn from this... it is a very simple formula in the NBA, and history proves it works...

no team with only one Super Star is ever going to win an NBA title... EVER!  maybe back in the 70s or 80s that was possible, but never again... and if you can't tell that the Cleveland Cavaliers only have one superstar on their team... you do not belong in this game...

Best example is the 94 rockets.  arguable teams are the 03 spurs(parker and ginobli weren't perenial allstars yet), 04 Pistons  didn't have a superstar, alot of good players but no superstar.  06 heat Shaq still put up numbers vs celts if he does'nt count for Lebron he doesn't count for dwade.

Good point about the Pistons, their wasnt a Superstar in the bunch and certainly not two just a bunch of players that knew how to work well together.

I guess this will be an ongoing thing untill a couple more years. Im just praying that lebron ends up on a west coast team where he will never have the best record in the nba again. Or i hope he goes to a team with another star and then when he doesnt win i can watch all the lebron butt buddies debate some other excuse. Kobe and MJ make/made their teammates better around them. Lebron doesnt make anyone better. Odom, fisher and many others have taken paycuts to play with kobe and the lakers to win. Not one single player was willing to take a pay cut and go play with lebron.

Exactly.  Team always beat star.  All this talk about Kobe and the times he has won is when the Lakers have had a low post presence (1tst Shaq....then Gasol/Bynum)

Who on the Cavs is controlling the paint?

    Answer:    NOBODY!

LBJ has to do it all....and when he doesn't the haters come out trying to make sure that they spin what we are seeing their way.

Bottom line is, team always defeats star.  Even Paul Pierce said that....on any given night anyone could step up for Boston....but the Celtics knew all they had to do is stop Lebron.

Sorry folks that is not the case with the Lakers....they can get offense from others, particularly in the paint.

yeah he has to do it all because he doesnt make anyone better around him. Its not like they cant play basketball or make shots. All lebron has to do is win and then all the haters would be silenced.

Neither Kobe or Jordan would have won a title with Lebron's supporting cast.

    Lebron is surrounded by garbage.

    Garbage.

    GARBAGE.
