The Heat will come out with a full head of steam tonight vs the Pacers for how things ended the last game. As you all know, they last lost 2 games in a row January 10th. Since then they have lost 8 times, and here are the results of the following games in which they lost including playoffs.
Average 1st quarter scores: 28.4 - 21.6 Average half time score: 55.5 - 45.8 Average game score: 106.4 - 85.8
That's a difference of 7 by the end of the first, 10 by half, and over 20 for the game!
Average point spread: -5.5

This are very selective stats. Why not check every ATS stat after a Miami loss all season? Why not at least check every game after a loss in 2013? Cherrypicking your stat right after they LOST the game after a loss is very self-serving.
It's also important to know *WHO* they played. If they faced Charlotte, Cleveland, Sacramento, and other lotto teams, then the big margin of victory is meaningless in a game right after a loss.

Go back and look-up how teams perform off these great 3 game runs.

Pacers are the better team...and were before the series started...If Dwayne Wade is not the Wade of old...why on earth would Miami win unless the refs hand it to them...I love Miami but if they do win...its by a very close margin......pacers should have beaten them last year but they did not use hibbert properly...won't happen this year

But I bought into the Miami hype and took them for the 1Q and lost. But if Indy should somehow pull out this win, I think Miami is a great bet for G6. Refs will try hard to push a G7.

My costly mistake was in not checking to make sure the Heat were also 8-0 ATS in the first halves of those games. Well, they weren't. They were 5-3 ATS and a perfect 8-0 ATS in the second halves. I fuc.ked myself out of what should have been a nice -7.5 winner by instead betting a nice -4 first half loser. Costly.
