i just bet the knicks up to 5.5. but, and i mean this with respect, your doubting chris bosh. he was the difference maker in the boston series last year. miami was going down and bosh came back and neutralized garnett. bosh with roll players is the old toronto raptors, who, though not great, could beat anybody at home-- and were signficantly better than the bobkittens. ray allen, udanis haslem (two rings), shane battier, norris cole. i'll give you that an old mike miller is a wizard. but he was 4-6 from three at san antonio. could the bobkittens beat the spurs in san antonio.
I really don't think the Heat's bench is anywhere close to the supporting cast that Bosh had in Toronto. Bargnani was better at that time than anyone the Heat currently have and it's not close. They also had Calderon, Jack, and Derozan, who are probably all better than anyone on tonight's Miami team. The Raptors were only 68-55 at home over Bosh's last 3 years with the team, a winning percentage of 55% which is marginally above the league average.

Aside from all these absurd reasons about motivation and swag incentives, the Heat are unlikely to win this game. Miami minus Lebron, Wade, and Chalmers would probably be the worst team in the NBA. Would you take the Knicks +2 at the Bobcats? I certainly would. I expect the Knicks to win by 6-10 points, depending on whether or not Tyson Chandler makes his return.
I feel like you can't possibly know enough about NBA to bet on it if you believe this. Miami is likely the deepest team in the league. Chris Bosh is easily a top 20 player and current all-star, plus 3 former all-stars in Allen/Lewis/Haslem. Battier and Chris Anderson are very defenders and Norris Cole is a very reasonable PG. These guys can step up and take bigger roles and compete with any team in the country. They would easily be a 3rd seed in the east without Lebron/Wade on their roster.

Norris Cole is horrendous. He may become a good player down the road, but right now he is a joke. His PER is 7.4, which is ahead of only 9 players: Keith Bogans, Draymond Green, Jan Vesely, Derek Fisher, Kendall Marshall, Will Barton, Ronnie Price, Dahntay Jones, and Austin Rivers.
As for Lewis and Allen, being a former all-star doesn't mean you are still good. Ray Allen is probably replacement level, but Rashard Lewis is a lot worse than that.
When was Udonis Haslem an all star?

You're right Haslem wasn't an all star that's my bad. I also thought he had a few seasons at 15+ points, but that's not true either. He is still a solid player nonetheless.
The lack of PG is the obvious hole in this roster, but ray allen and cole combined can do enough to get the job done. Cole is fine, he has more off games than most, but if he was truly as bad as you say he wouldn't be seeing as many minutes as he does. He is also a very pesky defender
Rashard Lewis can still ball when he wants too, he just doesn't have the stamina to do it regularly. Even though he had a bad shooting night in SA he still did some great things on the court. Ray Allen isn't the player he used to be, but he's close enough to be considered a real threat.
This roster is a little more inconsistent offensively, but they have enough perimeter shooters to beat any team on any night. This team can also still play some lock down D even without Lebron/Wade.
I'm not betting on the Heat, but I think discounting them is a bad idea as well, it should still be a good game.

Cole still gets minutes, 1. because Miami's options are extremely limited since they have to pay the big three so much money and 2. because they are developing him for the future. He is a horrible NBA player right now.
Rashard Lewis is only capable of shooting spot up threes at this point, and there will be a lot less open ones without Lebron and Wade creating for him.

And getting 4 blocks against the 2nd best team in the league.

Norris cole sux????? Really. The same guy who along with chalmers won an nba finals game last year. Heat still have good team without lebron and wade
You can absolutely win an NBA finals game and still suck. Especially when you have arguably the best player n NBA history on your team, another top 10 player in the league, and another top 30 player in the league.

i think everything you said was generally right. i was just nervous cause i had a lot of money on the knicks. and i don't like to get overconfident. that was an easy one. and the heat shot their wad at san antonio. carmelo was amazing. j-kidd looked old out there. ray was going around him too easily.
