Had a pretty good week thus far. Looking to continue the trend into tomorrow. My cutoff date is Wednesday for the weeks' count so I'm looking to close out tomorrow strong. Lost the MEM -6.5 today along with the rest of the forum. I usually don't chase BUT tomorrow's games all look pretty great. I jumped on the lines early.
TOR@PHI
OVER 182
TOR+5
I like TOR in this spot because I don't think TOR's 3-7 show their true talent. They've had some pretty close games with some great teams. I see them bouncing back from their 10pt loss against PHI last game @ home. If they won't win SU, I can see TOR keeping them within a basket or two. DeRozan has been playing pretty well and as long as they can figure out a way to slow down Jrue Holiday, the +5 should be solid.
Both teams play quick on the break and can put up baskets in bunches. I love the 182 here. I can't see either team responding to a basket with defense. They'll probably answer basket for basket in this one.
NYK@NOR
NOR+6
This is the first time these two teams will be meeting this season. Even though NYK are 7-1, I think NOR can keep this one pretty close. I don't think they'll steal it but I see NYK winning by a very small margin. Even though Austin River's is a bit overrated, what he lacks in experience and skill, he makes up for in athleticism and speed over Felton and Kidd. The X factor here is whether or not NYK shoot well behind the arc.
BKN@LAL
UNDER 208.5
LAL -6.5
This may or may not be D'Antoni's first night out with LAL but whether or not he's on the sideline, I see LAL maintaining their uptempo offense they've shown in the last few games. They're 5-5 record is undeserved. BKN is a tough team allowing opponents UNDER 100 ppg thus far in the season. The UNDER at 208.5 seems too good to be true.
Lopez is a great center but I don't think he can keep up with Dwight now that D12 is hitting his stride. I have absolutely no faith in the BKN bench to come in and do any damage and I don't believe that BKN has enough talent to take on the LAL here.

Like 2 of 3 of your choices, main one being the Raptors. Very close to being my play of the day, but I'm taking my shot with the Knicks instead. Like Lakers, but just too unsure of them at this spot.
Some of things you say about the Knicks/Hornets, yes I think Rivers maybe a bit overrated too, he's got a GREAT first step but besides that, I don't even think he's that quick nor does he have a great ability to change speeds, say like a Kryie Irving. Main thing is the Knicks probably are the best 3pt shooting team in the league, and while the Hornets interior D is very solid, they have been vulnerable to the 3, and they might get frustrated here. I also don't think the Hornets, along with the Sixers...get that much out of their homecourt advantage.
I do understand why people are picking the Hornets, I'm just not buying it...but I've been wrong many times before so... just my 2 cents. At least one of us will win anyway.

I'm from Toronto, I just want to know what you see in the Raps tonight? Is it Calderon or is Philly not as good as it's record?
I do like the Lakers and I think people might be a bit intimidated because of Memphis losing last night and the Nets 5 game win streak. However, that streak came against some very garbage teams and tired Celtics team. I think the league needs and want the Lakers to win at home. They love ratings and if D'Antoni is there, we can expect the refs to side with the Lakers. I also don't think anyone on that team can match up with Howard. The only thing that worries me is the PG position. Should there be concern? I'm 13-2 ATS the season and want the trend to continue lol

@abnormality - great input. Agreed that NOR doesnt have much of a home court advantage BUT the Knicks shooting behind the arc is a hit or miss. Theyve been shooting great but as soon as they start missing a few shots, their entire nught goes to hell bc you know thwyll keep shooting instead of going into the paint as the first option. Banking for this to happen tonight.

@loathy2002 and @tonytouchemall the fact that the line opened at 208.5 and hasn't shifted yet is either a gift or a complete fish trap. Even with a disadvantage at the pg position, I dont see LAL letting up this game bc theyre dominant in near every other position. Even with D'Antonis offense, I see the Lakers getting enough stops to keep BKN under 100. If it is a blowout (which I doubt) I have no faith in the LAL bench to put up big mediocre numbers.

@loathy2002 Calderon is putting up good numbers and playing extremely well despite not getting a lot of the spotlight. Jrue Holiday is great BUT Phillys isnt as tough as they're shows. ToR can put up baskets in the bunches and PHI usually has hard times keeping up in a shoot out bc of their defense.
I agree with the LAL game. Lakers will win bc the NBA and refs wont have D'Antoni lose his first game after a hideous start for LAL. Plenty of whistles for LAL tonight. PG position is a disadvantage for LAL but they have the advantage (either defensively or offensively) in every other position. I dont see Deron Williams going off for crazy numbers in this game and if worst comes to worse, they will shift Kobe to play a 1/2 shift defense/offense.

Nice writeup & great looks into the games, I agree that Toronto scores baskets in bunches and usually it happens at the start of the game in the 1st Quarter.
Adding to my plays: 1st Quarter TORONTO RAPTORS+1½-120

On all your sides except leaning brooklyn for the cover. I liked under too for philly gm. interesting you on opposite there. I like what you said anyway. I will have to look into it little better.

Mr. TLO, sorry couldn't get back to you earlier. Don't want to jinx it, but I took your advice on my home team (the raps) and so far so good. Actually, they're leading in the forth. Great advice.
Earlier I said the Lakers to cover, however I like your thoughts on the under. You like both or one of the bets?

@loathy2002 hope you also took TOR Over182. I like LAL to cover and the UNDER@208.5. Seems like to high of a line by at least 12 points. As I said, LAL gets whistle blessed tonight and when they do, theyre dangerous

TLO I did take the over and on a separate bet the spread, I actually teased the cover to plus 6 and I just got rocked on the spread by 2. Welcome to betting on the Raptors. It should have came through, they blew it. They were leading most of the game.
Time for the Laker game. You going to parlay or take them separately?
