I work in a bar, about the most public place you can get for idiots acting like they know more about basketball than anybody.
Before Game 1 - everybody was all over the Thunder at my bar - guys were telling me Durant was going to go for 50 (when I had to remind them 51 was his career high vs a crappy Nugs defense).
Last night - a majority of my bar is talking about how the Spurs are going to sweep the Thunder (I guess most my patrons only watched the 4th quarter). Too much experience and solid defense seems to be an overwhelming consensus on the Spurs coming into this game.
But they won game 1?

news flash the spurs have been a public bet all post season how has that worked out for the public? pretty good no? remember game 3 at la? 10 threads in here about a public burial on the spurs coming up! how d that work out for fade the public backers?
you seriously cant even have a discussion with people about x and o's anymore in this place. all people know are fake %'s and they are gonna fade them
Public was on LAC most of the series so it made sense for SA to cover. People thought Paul and Griffin would become super heroes and lost.

Since 2008 ALL 1-0 teams in the 3rd round that were not favored by 7 or more in game 1 lost game 2 outright if favored by 6 or less. Also, all of them lost ATS since 2007.
Also, all 1-2-3 seeds after round 2 are 0-13 ATS in game #2 are 0-15 ATS in last 15 if favored by 6 or less.
The plays are OK CITY +4.5 and OK CITY +180 moneyline.
When in game #2 in rounds 3 or later the total drops down and public % on over jumps up, the under wins 67% of time.
The play here is UNDER 201.5
I like these stats and because of stats like this, I made the correct move in Game 1 to go with the under instead of the over like I originally intended on playing. History repeats itself and this is how bettors are able to cap games correctly without even watching the games. Will follow your information here Jimmy. BOL

the spurs are a great team but everyone has the jazz and clipp series implanted in their head and its never leaving. newsflash the jazz were awful and a joke of a playoff team and the clipp show were more espn dunk material then a good team when healthy let alone with their 2 best players injured the whole series. i rode s.a those 2 rounds. okc would have swept both those teams also. people keep saying okc had their chance if im okc im happy as a pig and shit i was winning by 9 in the 4th qtr with wesbrick putting up one his pattented shitfests. not to mention dumb ass coaching taking iblocka out. his +/- was +9 but brooks tried to get cute.
We alway's bump head's so why not keep it going...If OKC woulda swept Utah and the Clipper's then why didn't they sweep the Laker's? Don't tell me how the Lakers are a better team cuz they're not.OKC is a solid team but the are SO FUCKIN ONE DIMENSIONAL it's killing them. If they're not draining jumpshot's they have nowhere else to turn for offense...the Spur's have so many other option's and OKC's ball rotation on defense is jus not anygood..they got away with it VS the Laker's cuz noone but Kobe wanted to play but the Spur's have too many guy's that can and will take and make big shot's if left open. On the brightside Stanley Cup starts tommorow!!! Right???

I know a few professional bettors, two I talked to are on the Thunder and one on Spurs... should I go around saying all the Pros are on the Thunder tonight?
Mikado there are plenty of people with better records on this website than those two professional bettors you know. We are the public.

I think lakers are better than utah and an injured clippers squad.

I might be biased when it comes to the Laker's cuz I'm a Laker's fan...but to Kill a snake (ie black mamba ) Id cut off the head!!! The Blueprint for beating the Laker's was jus contain Kobe they're not gonna beat us with anything else!!! whereas the Jazz and the Clipper's had a few other option's!!! My opinion!!

Clips have same options as Lakers but with Paul and Griffin being hurt that will not make them as effective. From that Spurs series, many people think CP3 is not an elite pg but they forget he's injured.
As for Jazz, they only have the inside game. Alll you have to do is shut down their inside game and you should win. Also, Jazz are a horrible road team. Yes, I know Lakers road record is not anything to be impressed about but they do step up on road when they need to.
When Lakers bring their top game, they will beat both of those teams.

Kobe is not the center of the offense. I think Gasol and Bynum should be the center of the offense. Everyone knows the easiest shot is in the paint and when you have 2 of the best inside players in the game there is no reason to keep giving Kobe the ball every play to tire him out and then he has no gas to shoot his miraculous jump shots and turnarounds at end of the game to squeak out close games.

Interesting trend for Round 3 Game 2. I can see why you like OKC but where did the under come from? I've seen plenty over/under wins with the population on it.

OKC....did show up for 3 quarters and 22 seconds...to get the cover in Game 1.....
I agree the Spurs have not seen this kind of speed, both on the offensive end and especially on the defensive rotations.by OKC covering the 3pt line... BUT.. OKC has not faced a team that negates Ibaka and Perkins interior shot blocking with it's crisp interior passing.....OKC was firing on all cylinders in Game 1...Spurs could not buy a 3 for the majority of the game,,,Spurs win.....Game 2 I see the Spurs firing on all cylinders and opening this game up for a big W....... Good luck to all ,,just my opinions........
