Thunder vs Clippers

Down on the Thunder right now.  Their 5-1 record is deceiving as they haven't played well.  They have two dominant players and that's it.  Most nights that's enough but OKC has taken a step back this year and won't sniff the Finals.  Clippers are getting better with a real coach for the first time and will continue to improve.  Asking them to cover this number is fair.

Top teams like the LAC only play a handful of statement games during the regular season and tonight is one of them.  OKC if they lose no big deal not expected to win on the road.  Clips need to show the Thunder what happened last year will not happen again on their home court.

Don't have much of a read on them right now.  You take away the 2nd most important player on your team it's tough to gauge.  You would think they would rebound and show some pride after getting smacked the other night at home but don't really think they are mentally strong.  Not sure what to make of small ball which they will have to play, not really interested in their games right now.

Hopefully I can get the hawks and clips at pk or -1 once the games begins.   Maybe Melo and Jr post big numbers tonight.

I think the game can go either way, so the 4.5 points is a nice cushion.  I think if the clippers do win, they won't win by more than 7.  If OKC wins it'll be by 5 or less.  If I'm correct with that thinking siding with OKC like I intend to gives me a roughly 66% chance of winning, 16% chance of pushing, and 16% chance of losing. 

Obivously if I'm wrong with my expectations, those numbers don't mean anything.  LOL

No Kendrick Perkins for them tonight -- be wary, they are far better without him on the floor than with him.

thatsagoodone the problem with OKC is they are a bully team.  When they have to play a team that is as good or better they get bullied themselves.  Their ats record against top teams is below .500 the past couple years.  The plan is they lose tonight and fade them again tomorrow after no rest.  They still haven't beaten a good team this year.

It should be a close game but take it from a Celtics fan... the Celtics ripped off the Clippers by getting a 1st round pick for Doc.  He's not really a good coach in terms of strategy, which is exactly what drove me nuts when watching his rotations when coaching Boston.

good call, i'm not so sure if Clippers cover this spread, but i think Clippers will take this game. possibly they will cover and if they win, it can be DD by Clippers.

At this point in the season, the Clippers haven't proved to me they got it all together.  Albeit, either have the Thunder.  I believe it's a close game and I like the cushion of 4.5 points.  I'm not afraid of the Clippers like I was last season when they went on that insane run.  I recall taking them for nearly 10 games not caring what the line was.

After looking at the schedule it's apparent they're in the toughest spot of any team tonight.  This will be their 7th game in 11 days with 6 of them being on the road.  One of those throw away games where the Raps will get down early and throw in the towel.

Steve Adams has impressed those who have watched him.  Most thought he would get 10 minutes a night and learn but ahead of schedule but lets not get crazy.  The more minutes he plays the more he will get exposed because he still is a project and looks lost at times on defense.  

Just hit Memphis -6 again.  Line going down just now doesn't scare me, it makes me like Memphis more.
