This is why the Thunder traded Harden.....

To go after D. Howard after the season. Martin is in the last yr of his cotract. He comes off the books, big money opens up. Now Howard will be able to decide wether or not he will stay with an aging Kobe and Laker tm, or go to the Thunder and have a juggernaut of a tm for YEARS....Imo, it would be pretty tough to find 3 other people on the PLANET who could tm up and beat the likes of Durant, Howard and Westbrook.

This is going to get VERY interesting. Of course this is just my opinion. Any thoughts???

Too much money...they already said that if they signed Harden to a 4yr/$54 million deal the would be at $95 million cap...I'm assuming Dwight Howard will warrant more than that.

OKC likes Ibaka more than Howard.  Redbook got it right, Harden choked in the finals, and was inconsistent all year.   You need your 3rd option to be consistent, and not choke.

ahh yes james harden made front page news and its not because he is any good, its because ppl are hyped for the season to start. OKC got a steal with this 'trade' .  when this fraud plays on the road he becomes non-existent.

one of the main reasons harden thrived in his role was because durant/westbrook garnered so much attention from the others teams defense, he was able to drive to the basket easier and get more open shots. Once he becomes the player that the other team can focus on to stop, he ll be much less effective ( we all saw what happened to harden in the finals when the thunder actually played a team that plays proper defense)
