San Antonio have been cruising, just breezing through the PO's. They've been easy going since the end of regular season winning 10 straight and 8 straight games in the PO's. They've also blown out their opponents 6 out of 8 times in the PO's & 8 out 10 end of reg season on top of cruising & breezing through games, flawlessly surging to the finals......impressive? perhaps but they played Utah Jazz in the 1st round (they hardly even sweat blowing them out in every game but 1) and then played a hobbling Clippers squad who, let's face it w/ out CP would have been lucky to get as far as they did. THey blew the Clips out every game but the last (exactly the same scenario as Utah). Yes Spurs have been flawless but against weak squads (including the end of reg season and i don't think this bodes well for them going into this series.
Thunder on the other hand faced much tougher opponents in former champs Dallas and the Lakers. Only 3 blow outs in 8 games (a vast comparison to Spurs) and the majority were tough close games where the winners won by an average of 3 pts. I think this prepared the Thunder well as the playoffs continues for them.
This will be toughest game for San Antonio since April.

I'd agree with your close game bit if the Spurs were a young team. But they've been in more close games than the Thunder by a huge #.
GL. I am hoping for a close series but am on the other side tonight. From my perspective Spurs at home and too much time for Pop to prepare and too much rest for the old spurs for OKC to keep it tight tonight.

First I LOVE THE TITLE!!! Yes Spur's have had a easy road. However OKC's road was not that difficult either.I think UTAH was scrappier than Dallas and while the Clipper's were banged up they were not as KOBEDIMENSIONAL as the Laker's!!!
The reason the Spur's blew through thier opponents? PLAYOFF EXPERIENCE, SYSTEM, TEAM BASKETBALL APPROACH ,AND THEY'RE FOCUS.. EVERYONE OF THE SPUR'S PLAYER'S REALIZE THE MAGNITUDE OF THE PLAYOFF'S..THEY DON'T HOTDOG... THEY DON'T MAKE DUMB PASSES (IE: CELTI'C'S) ..THEY DON'T RELY ON JUS TWO GUY'S (IE THE HEAT) OR 3 GUY'S (ie OKC) IT'S A TOTAL TEAM EFFORT AND THEY CAN PLAY EVERY ANGLE OF THE GAME.... THEY'RE A GREAT TRANSITION TEAM THEY'VE GOT GOOD HALF COURT SET ...THEY HAVE POST PRESSENCE AND THEY HAVE POINT GAURD DRIBBLE PENETRATION..THEY ARE ALSO A THREAT AT THE THREE POINT LINE AND THEY MAKE THIER FOUL SHOT'S!!!!
They should not run away with this series but they should HANDLY win this series as THE SPUR"S ARE ALSO THE BEST TEAM OKC HAS FACED!!! . I Fully expect them to win thier home games cuz they are well coached.and today being the 1st home game that they have, and have been well rested and prepared for.. they are definatly my play for today!!!! GoodLuck!!!

agree with your write-up... think the types of games OKC has had to play, against championship caliber teams, prepares them better for what should be a tightly contested series...

Blowouts don't nec' determine no competition..............
............This years SA squad is a clinic............I think it's a combination of both weak comp' and an awesome TEAM!

I agree...I respect your opinion and the way you expressed it. Well written.
That being said, I think the three studs that OKC has is enough to take out the Spurs....I like OKC to score with the Spurs but then when it is tight....for KD and Harden to make more plays down the stretch than the Spurs.

well, first off, i have already won lots of money gambling, on a consistent basis... do you mean i won't win anymore money gambling? i sure hope you're wrong... pretty sure you are!
secondly, i always consider others' opinions... that's why i check in on this site...
against my opinion, his is a rationalization, while mine is an attempt to handicap the games and find value... i put in bold the parts that are an attempt to rationalize what i believe is his a priori opinion... to suggest that the Jazz are a tougher out than the defending champs is ludicrous! if you don't see that, then i would suggest you are the one who can't consider the merits of an opposing position...
GL with that...
