I've seen a lot as a Mavericks fan. Up 3-0 in the first round against Portland back in 2003, only to watch Portland force a game 7 that the Mavs managed to win. I've watched them be up 2-0 in the finals and in charge of game 3 with five minutes left when they completely collapsed and lost the series in 6.

This is not that team. They blew the 20+ point lead to Portland in Game 4 of the first round and haven't lost since. Dirk knows from experience that they can't let the Lakers off the ground today... and he will make sure they don't. Don't fall for the "Lakers are desperate" angle. They've been "desperate" since Game 2 and it hasn't made a lick of difference.

Surprised the rout started this early but it's going pretty much according to plan. The Lakers just aren't as good as the Mavs and don't match up well at all. Lot of basketball left to play but I think this is a prelude of what to expect over the next 2 hours.

I think Jason Terry remembers how the NBA finals loss to the Heat felt back in 2006 because the way he's shooting tells me he does not want to feeel that way ever again.

Announcers made a great point that you don't normally see the bush league tactics from a Phil Jackson team. Today is the exception. Bynum is a thug. Just a terrible cheap shot on Barea.

Gonna think about it for a bit. Hawks are very up and down and I have a feeling they may show up tonight. The line looks funny to me considering how the Bulls smacked them around last game. If I'm going to do something I'll have it posted here by 7:30.
