Steve Kerr was very emotional during his pregame press conference because of the school shooting in Texas. I have to wonder if Kerr will be focused for Game 5. If Kerr is still talking about this before Thursday's game it might be worth it to take the moneyline with the Mavericks.

Steve Kerr should stick to basketball and get out of politics. If he’s going to let outside events have an impact on his preparation and the preparation of his team, the Warriors GM should start looking for another head coach.

Talking about a shooting isn't politics and this loss had nothing to do with Steve Kerr, or the team's focus. Dallas just finally hit the open shots they bricked in game one, and in the second halves of games two and three. Nothing changed. There were no adjustments. Dallas attacked the paint early but at the end of the day, as I've said many times, Dallas is gonna shoot three pointers. It's what they do. Guys like Spence, DFS, have had open shots all series and they have missed. They hit them in games 4, at home. Guys like Bertens, Kleber, all played an improved game in game 4, again, at home. This Steve Kerr angle is just soap opera stuff, and has nothing to do with the outcome of this game.

You know nothing about what you speak of...shut up fool...stick to your Gameboy during the day and shoving those same thumbs up your buttocks at night.

The Last Dance documentary talks about it more in detail. Really sad, not surprised with Kerr's reaction. Kerr is one of the mentally toughest on that Bulls championship squad. I'd put it on par with MJ & Pippen. Losing his dad tragically defined who he is today. 5 rings as a player, and 3 as a coach. Kerr is a winner in life unlike BDwah.

His personal tragedy doesn't excuse his grandstanding. He's paid 10s of millions of dollars to coach a professional basketball team. Not use his national platform as an opportunity to vomit his emotions, push his political agenda and do a hit and run and refuse to address any questions from the media. The league should fine him as I thought they established standards against this king of BS.
But you do you and keep virtue-signaling your nonsense.

@StumpTownStu You clearly didn't listen to the full press conference. It was entirely political.
No, you're right. I didn't listen to any of it because I don't give a shit. Guys like you are gluttons for this stuff. My point was that the Warriors loss had nothing to do with Steve Kerr being distracted, or an B.S. like that. From an X's & O's standpoint, there was not much different from games 1-3. The Mavs role players have had open looks from three all series. They bricked in game 1. They hit in the first half of game 2, bricked down the stretch. Ditto for game 3. They hit those same shots in game 4. Dallas is a good team. They took one at home. Period. They were even able to put together a late game push. It was just too little, too late.
I don't give two shits about Steve Kerr's believes, etc.i just hate when dudes take something that is very fundamentally based in basketball, very based in X's and O's, and turns it into soap opera drama. You don't like Steve Kerr. I get it. So what.

@T1ltidin No it shouldn't. The basketball coach has a job to do, and the job description does not include going after politicians in press conferences.
If he went after politicians you disliked, you'd be in here kissing his ass. You're not upset that he brings politics into his press conference. You're upset that you don't agree with his politics. And instead of ignoring it, you're triggered by it. I laugh at people like you.

Why is a California liberal telling Texans how to live.
KERR you are a basketball coach STFU and worry about your team not the laws in states you neither pay taxes in or vote in.
Im all for increased background checks and waiting times I have a concealed carry permit and lawfully underscore lawfully purchased and registered my firearms . That said stop telling others how to live especially when you are a non-resident and are exploiting your sports platform to lecture others.

You're wrong. I made posts talking about the X's and O's of basketball in a basketball forum. You're making crybaby posts because you're triggered by what some basketball coach said.

wow your ignorance amazes me. First of all...sports always have been political- it's not a "woke modern thing" as you probably experience it. people wrote books, dissertations, etc on this topic, if you aren't aware of that i can't help you...
But more importantly i believe that there is no other social milieu than sports where people can transcend their cultural and ideological differences and actually meet as human beings. I am not American, but i believe i can witness a dangerous polarization where true discourse becomes more and more impossible. So why not tackle an issue which everyone has in mind- at a place we all go just to enjoy sports. Sure we rather watch Steph and Luka play, but at least those with any bit of empathy bear in mind what really happened this sad day.
And then again- most americans don't want any nut job being able to buy a gun at walmarts. Why not adress that corrupt piece of sh1t senators prevent the will of the people- of ALL people red or blue. Steve Kerr had a platform and used it- and besides miserable people like yourself, republicans, democrats, independents FELT what he said. In my case i respect him even more now.
Do you actually think this issue is better addressed on CNN or FOX? Or is it better to address it at the thanksgiving table?
Sometimes getting political doesn't mean choosing a side.

You are clearly triggered by something although you are having a hard time figuring out what it is. Let's see if you will have figured it out in your next reply or if you remain confused. My money is on the latter.

when they play the bulls has kerr went off about all the gun violence in chicago that kills way way way more then this shooting, including too many children, that doesn't get reported. What his answer for the illegal guns?
