    Charlotte vs Atlanta 17/03

There are few factors that will affect this game tonight. First of all the Bobcats played a game yesterday and although they met with the Bucks they really had to fight for full 48 minutes to get much needed win. As they had this game in Milwaukee they have been travelling to get back to Charlotte, so both teams are coming off the plane to play tonight. Shortly fatigue factor is there.

But even more important factor is the importance of that game. Both teams are in a fight for the play-off spot and need that win at all costs. Atlanta is 8th in the East with 29 wins and 35 losses and Charlotte is 7th with 33 wins and 34 losses. Both teams should be scared of the Knicks and even the Cavaliers still be able to catch them. That means this game will be played close to the intensity level we usually see in the play-offs.

Charlotte is averaging 95,3 points per 48 minutes, which is one of the worst numbers in the league. Atlanta is scoring 100,8 points per 48 minutes. As importance of the games grows scoring and tempo of the games has dropped for both teams. 200 points is the line, but fatigue factor will affect the shooting percentages and imortance of the game will intensify the defense, so under 200 points is the bet here with 5/10 stakes.

One more prediction for Bulls vs Thunder game

Thunder got an embarassing loss yesterday, when they just were unable to stop the Mavericks hot shooting. Dallas scored 109 points while shoooting 53,3% from the field and 54,2% (13-24) behind the arc. As for today`s game Thunder loss yesterday could be the best news.

Russell Westbrook did not play yesterday as the Thunder are giving him rest in back-to-back games for rest of the season. He will be ready to go tonight. Kevin Durant and other starters also sat for most of the 4th quarter, as the difference ballooned to 20+ points. More importantly, the Thunder are motivated, angry and ready to prove to the world that yesterday`s game was an accident. But leaving the motivation aside, The Thunder need to win to get as high as possible seed for the play-offs. As tight as it is the top of the Western Conference standings OKC can still finish 1st, but also drop to 3rd or 4th. It may not matter much in the first round of the play-offs, but being 2nd or 3rd could be a huge difference in later rounds.

Chicago Bulls define themselves through the defense. They would like to play half-court offense basketball and hard nose defense at the other end. As good as the Bulls are with their D, it does not help much against  the Thunder as Durant and Westbrook are both just an excellent 1-on-1 players, who can be stopped only by themselves. Chicago will do its best, but OKC will score heavy and the Bulls just dont have enough offensive power to match them. Bet the Thunder to cover -3,5 points with 5/10 stakes.

Chicago will do its best, but OKC will score heavy and the Bulls just dont have enough offensive power to match them. Bet the Thunder to cover -3,5 points with 5/10 stakes.

    Atlanta vs Toronto 18/03

The Hawks have now won 4 games in a row. It looks much better for them, but the schedule here has come to their advantage and meeting weak teams or an average team in a bad spot has made this streak possible. Quality of the Hawks game has remained close to what it was a week ago when they were on a 6-game losing streak.

The Hawks beat the Jazz, by 2 points, then at home managed to beat the league`s worst Bucks by 5 points, followed up with 5-point win over the Nuggets, who were coming to play back-to-back away game after playing the Heat. Yesterday the Hawks were able to get a win against the Bobcats, who had that strange back-to-back game (morning game vs Bucks followed with evening game vs Hawks) and were obviously on a bad spot. So yes, 4-game winning streak, but it will be seriously tested tonight when the tables are turned and the Hawks will find themselves in worse end of back-to-back games.

Toronto has a better record than the Hawks (by 7 wins). They have won 7 of their last 10 games. They are coming to play having fresh legs and will have the Hawks players back end of the back-to-back. The Raptors like to push the tempo and that will be a killer for the Hawks. Toronto to cover -2 points with 4/10 units.

One more prediction for Denver vs Detroit 19/07

It is no secret that the Nuggets are a good home team. It has been so for years and it will stay so for foreseeable future because they play in high-altitude conditions that hurt the visiting teams. Denver has been one of the disappointment this season, but they also have been struck by injuries and obviously have a tough competition in the West.

The Nuggets are playing much better as of late though. They did beat Miami in away game, gave it a fight against the Hawks 24h later and 2 days ago they did beat the Clippers. That game against the Clippers was 1st game after 5-game roadtrip, so by now they should be nicely settled to home conditions to play against the Pistons. The Nuggets have won their last 3 home games against DAL, LAL and LAC.

Detroit is coming to play against the Nuggets being shorthanded. They will be without Andre Drummond wo suffered a neck injury on Saturday. That actually hurts them a lot, because it takes away maybe only clear advantage they had over the Nuggets – strenght under the basket. They are also coming to play from a 4-days rest, which in one hand makes sure they have fresh legs, but on the other side increases the risk of them being rusty. Rust or no rust, the Nuggets should have an upperhand here, as they are seemingly nicely settled in to play at home and the Pistons clearly showed their weaknesses being without Drummond during the 2nd half of the game against the Pacers (DET lost it by 19 points). Take the bet Denver -7 with 5/10 units.

    76ers vs Bulls 19/03

The losing streak for the 76ers has grown to 21 games. It could easily happen that this streak can be paused only by the end of the regular season. Philadelphia is just THAT bad.

It is not only losing game after game after game, but the Sixers have not even been close to having a chance. Last time the final score was anywhere close happened more than a month ago when the Sixers lost “only” by 5 points against one of the bottom teams in the league, the Jazz. There have been games where difference in points has been staying below 10 points, but it has been more about the opposing teams sometimes not taking them seriously.

Problem for the Sixers tonight is that the Bulls are not one of these teams. They will not come out flat or start taking the game seriously after falling behind by 10 points. It is just not in Chicago`s DNA. The Bulls will come out and play hard defense, smart half-court offense and will put the Sixers in a hole as early as possible.

Chicago had a “difficult to swallow” type of loss against the Thunder two nights ago, so players will be motivated to get back on track. Philadelphia is a perfect victim to release their anger. Handicap line -13 points is always a scary one, but its likely that we will see the Bulls blowing this game open early, keep their foot on a gas pedal and secure an easy 20+ points win. Chicago -13 points with 6/10 units.

    Cavaliers vs Thunder 20/03

Cleveland is done with their play-offs hopes. They have a record of 26 wins and 42 losses and are already 5 wins behind the 8th seed in the East and more importantly they are crippled by the injuries, so really have no realistic chances to put together any considerable winning streaks.

Kyrie Irving is out until April after suffering strained left bicep injury in a game against the Clippers. Luol Deng is nursing an ankle injury and Dion Waiters is having an hip problems. They might play, but most likely the Cavaliers will sit them aswell. Funnily enough these are the 3 best players the Cavaliers have. Very convinient in fact, cause Cleveland wouldn`t mind losing and it is much easier to do so if your best players are sitting on the bench wearing a suit. Cleveland did put up a fight against the Heat in their previous home game, but we all know what kind of energy LBJ and the defending champions can bring out from opposing teams. The Cavaliers still fell short and lost the game by 4 points.

The Thunder on the other hand need to keep winning. They did a good job against the Bulls three days ago and should be well rested to play against the Cavaliers. With a record of 49-18 they still need to keep winnign to secure the home court advantage throughout the play-offs. We have 23 win difference in quality between these teams. Thats not only a gulf, but an ocean of a difference. Cleveland will help Thunder a lot to secure an easy win tonight. Bet on OKC to cover -8.5 points with 5/10 units.

    Pacers vs Bulls

Indiana has been playing flat over the last couple of weeks. They are 5-5 over the last 10 games and have exactly 0 impressive wins over that stretch.

The Bulls are one of the teams playing good backetball at the moment. They have won 6 of their last 10 games including wins over MIA and HOU. Losses against the BKN, SAS, MEM, OKC (all for sure in the play-offs) are nothing to be ashamed of.

If Indiana keeps losing and the Heat can pick themselves up this could potentially turn out to be preview of the 2nd round play-off matchup. Lockerroom motivational speeches from coaches are probably unnecessary – both teams want to win. At the moment Chicago is just playing a better basketball. Indiana should not be rated such a huge favorite here. Odds @3.40 clearly represents a value. 4/10 units.

    Bulls vs 76ers

This will be a rematch of Wednesday`s game when same teams met in Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia. The game finished with the Bulls winning 102-94 and extending the 76ers losing streak to 22 losses. By now it is of course 23 losses in a row and really does not look like ending any time soon.

The Bulls are winning games, but their offensive problems are noticeable. It is often not even opponent`s defense, but the Bulls just keep putting up bricks for straight possessions and often get 4-5 minute periods when they don`t have any made baskets. It has come to the point where their best offensive threat is one of the league`s best defensive player – Joakim Noah. You can`t expect many points in that kind of situation. What is the solution here? When it comes to the Bulls they will just play tough defense and try to limit their opponents scoring as much as they can. The Bulls rarely score more than 100 points, so they know they have to limit other team below that to win the games.

Both teams will play back-to-back game, so there will be some fatigue. Both teams know exactly what to expect as they met just 3 days ago – so the defense has an advantage. They scored exactly 196 points on Wednesday, but they shot with a high field %, which should stay much lower tonight. Take under 196 with 5/10 units.

    Nuggets vs Wizards 23/03

After beating the Clippers and the Pistons at home and losing to the Mavericks in an away game the Nuggets will play their last game this week at home again. They have been excellent at home recently winning their last 4 games. Although the Nuggets have a losing record 31 wins and 38 losses, they have a winning record at home with 18-16.

The Wizards overall record is 36-33. It is 5 wins better than the Nuggets have, but the Wizards also play in much weaker Conference. That means a lot easier schedule, weaker opponents and probably a better record than their quality deserves. Against the Western Conference teams Washington is only 11-17 and in away games they are with 4 wins and 10 losses.

Denver is a strong home team as they have clear advanatages thanks to high altitude conditions. They are also currently on a 4-game winning streak playing home. Washington has struggled against the Western Conference teams, especially playing away. Overall quality of these teams should be similar, but the Nuggets have a clear home advantage to make them favorites to cover -1 points.
