Don't confuse downright terrible with downright bored.  This team has been anxious for the playoffs, and they are suffering because of it.  However, once the playoffs hit, and it's do or die, the best teams rise up.  Pacers may get tested but that will be good for them.  They need the Nets or Bulls to give them a fight.  Then it will set up the epic showdown in the finals.  And that series will be one for the ages...

Great question...NASCAR is every week.  First lines comes out Wednesday and we make a few picks, and then they get taken off the board. Then they practice till race day which is normally Sunday...sometimes Saturday and lines are put out the morning of the race, and that's when we make more picks.  Lots of great cappers in there...Stats, Tomcat, GamesToWin, AshyLarry, MadShooter and others are all trustworthy and knowledgeable guys besides myself.  A lot of times we end up taking the same bets so it's good to check out all our picks.  I'll have 3-7 picks per NASCAR race...I don't do straight up winners, but the others do if you're into that.

As far as F1, I'm the only one with a thread so I tend to do all the write ups and picks.  There are races every several weeks, so you just have to keep an eye open for when the race is on a particular week.  Picks are the same...they come out on Wednesday and go off the board...then come back on the day of the race.  The tricky thing is that the races start sometimes at 3,4,5  in the morning our time so unless you're willing to stay up like I do, you just place the bets and go to bed and wake up and hope you won.  And in F1 you have to be willing to lay big juice.  Lots of guys aren't comfortable with that, but I picked the winners of the first 2 races, and went 6-1 first week in matchups/props and 5-2 today so we are off and running so far.

Alan any insight as to why the Pacers have been playing so poorly over the last few weeks?  Today only 76 points vs the Cavaliers?  I thought this team was going to win the East this year.

Paul George isn't dealing with his off court stuff very good and he's obviously been distracted.  Also, the Pacers are so anxious to get to the playoffs that they are being sloppy and forgetting to close out the regular season strong.  Amzingly, it looks like they are going to lose the number 1 seed by losing to teams who are in the running for lottery picks.

Sometimes a team gets in such a rut and there's nothing they can so about it except just go out there and keep getting their fools kicked until they figure it out...and right now there aren't any solutions in sight.  But their problems aren't X's and O's.  It's motivation to get hyped for these games against non-playoff teams and right now nobody is providing the motivation.

It's motivation to get hyped for these games against non-playoff teams and right now nobody is providing the motivation.

matchup at home against the Spurs tonight.. what are our thoughts? with the total at 188 seems like the books are callin our bluff on unders here. spurs can sling it so if they catch a quick lead the total is shot if indiana is stuck pursuing. however both very disciplined defensively.. think it stays low scoring.

SA1-5o/uL6  Ind0-6o/uL6  that's 1-11o/uL12 games that these 2 teams have played. Opened 192 and now 188. Even if Popovich wants to rest players how are the Pacers going to break the slump but play MORE defense? UNDER

I stand by my saying that the Pacers are unbettable from a side perspective.  But I'll still stick with the 1h under.  Everytime I think they line is too low, they prove me wrong so I'm sticking with it.

Wouldn't surprise me if people forget how good defensively the Spurs can be if they are feeling like it and blindly take the over.

I'm in Santa Barbara, CA this week so my posts will be short and sweet.  GL tonight gents

Sorry guys... Ive been in wine country all week.  Not great service and I'm surrounded by amazing wine so I apologize for not posting.

For the OH system when there's a push in the 1h, I tend to be a conservative bettor so I lay off the 2h.  If you're aggressive it's up to you whether or not to take the 2h.  Not sure how many times it's happened this year, but Ive laid off the 2h on those 1h pushes.

As far as the closing number, it's more common to win/lose the half bets by half a point because it's only half a game and the numbers end up really close.  Over the year the half point wins/losses even out, but that's why it's a year long system...and line shopping is important as well.  I'll be back Friday night so Saturday I should be back to normal by then.

87 is a little too low for me on the 1h.  No action on tonight's game for me.

Gonna take the 1h under 93...like that number a lot better than the 87 last game.  Gonna post later about some thoughts I have about the Pacers struggles.

Couple of quick thoughts on the Pacers right now.

Grantland did a fantastic article on the Pacers struggles from just the x's and o's perspective.  Really good stuff.  The best point I thought they made was that their spacing is really bad, and that their perimeter guys are in no mans land.  They aren't behind the 3 point line completely, so it's making it easier for defenses to collapse, and they don't have the 3 point shot making to stretch the defense because Hill and Paul George are struggling with their shots.

Wondering when we're gonna see Bynum again or if they are just going to save him for the playoffs.

I'm not buying the idea that the Pacers might get beat in the early playoff rounds.  In a 7 game series, I think they make it out against everyone.  The playoffs are different from the regular season, and the Pacers style of rebounding and playing strong D translates to the playoff style.

I still say the Pacers are unbettable right now from a point spread point of view...but I'm on the 1h under again.

Last night was embarrassing.  Benching the starters when you're fighting for the number 1 seed is terrible.  I just think they turn it around once the playoffs start.  I know it certainly doesn't look like it will happen, but I'm going to stick with that prediction...and I'm either going to look really smart or really dumb.

No matter what personal issues exist and what struggles are happening I just think this is a team that will come together when they realize the playoffs are here and it's do or die.

meanwhile, they have lost a 3 game lead for the #1 seed.  not going to beat miami without home court.  you are saying now that they really don't care about home court?  they couldn't muster up the effort to maintain their lead?

Oh they care about home court, but I think they've actually got it in their mind that they've already lost it.  I'm really shocked it's gotten to this point, but from what I've heard Paul George was closer to Granger than we knew and that he's still bothered by the trade.  From that point on it's been a snowball effect.  Paul George gets frustrated and goes into shooting slump, off the court issues make it worse, Lance gets frustrated, Hibbert isn't involved in the offense now, Turner isn't fitting in as well as they thought, etc.

I think once the playoffs start, they put the arguing to the side and get back to winning.
