Starting a fresh thread since that last one was getting a little long.

Finally feeling better after that disaster of a medical procedure...glad to be up and about and feeling good enough to get back to writing...I've definitely missed it.

First thing I'm going to attempt to explain is the Pacers struggles recently.  The struggles have come from Paul George's off the court issues which have really affected his game on the court.

He's got a stripper claiming he got her pregnant, he is being accused of being catfished (which he aggressively denies), X-rated pictures released that he sent to a girl, etc.  I wrote a while back that he said he was struggling to adjust to becoming a star with shooting commercials on his off-days, more public appearances, and now the female drama that comes with being a star.

He's not doing his part on the team right now.  The team is designed to have West and Hibbert control the boards, and take advantage of mismatches.  Hill is supposed to hit open shots.  Lance is supposed to control the tempo, hit open shots, and create his own shots going to the basket.  Paul George is supposed to score on the wing, and he's not doing that.  When he's not doing his job, everyone else is having to do their job, and pick up the points they normally count on from Paul George, and it's too much.

Unfortunately, there's not an easy fix from coaching, or scheme.  It's just getting Paul George focused and back to only worrying about basketball.  I'm not sure when that happens, but I think when we get close to playoffs, George will start to get back on track, but it's something that as a Pacers fan has me very worried.  I actually think the Pacers play good tonight because this is their big target, and this is the type of game that makes Paul George forget about his off-court issues for a few hours.

As for the betting, I hope everyone has been on the OH system...it's been really good.  I'll be on it again tonight.  As for the line, I'm not sure what Pacers team is going to show up, but taking the Heat at +money is decent value.

Thanks man...yeah, racing threads are a lot shorter and easier to write...lol.  And they are more profitable than any other sport I do so they always get my attention.  Big racing weekend this weekend as we have Nascar, F1, and the Trucks...lots of on the table this weekend.

It definitely feels good to even have the energy to write again.  Thanks for the warm welcome back...means a lot. 

OH system stands for ONE HALF.

The Theory being that the Pacers Defense is good enough to cause at least one half in a game to go under.  So we take the first half under and play it for a unit.  If it hits, we're done.  If it misses, take the 2H under for 2 units.  If it hits you're still up a unit.  It was a trend I noticed earlier in the year, and it's been a cash cow all season long.

Remember...the OH system is a long term system...it's not just for one particular game.  We've been on it for several months now...

As for the game total, the line is moving in the right direction.  I think 190 is too high, and I'd still take the under if I had to.  Both teams haven't been consistent enough to show me they are going to be able to score against each other.

I had throat injections to help me breathe better at night.  Doctor said it would ache a little bit for a couple days.  Instead, it's been weeks of hell with almost unbearable pain to the point where I've been taking painkillers just to knock me out so I can sleep and not feel anything.  I went several days where I was awake for only 6-8 hours in the entire day, and finally Monday it got better to where I could be off the painkillers and handle the pain with aspirin.  It still hurts, but it's getting better.

I don't know if I just reacted bad to the procedure, or if my doctor lied to me about the healing time, but he and I are going to have a long talk on my follow-up.

Catfishing was made famous by Manti Teo if you remember that story from Notre Dame football last year.

What were the throat injections meant to do?

Hardens up the tissue in the back of my throat so it doesn't rub against the front part of my throat when I breathe at night.  Prevents snoring, and gets you into deep sleep faster for a more efficient night of sleep, and you don't keep the person next to you up at night with loud breathing.  It's actually called a snore-plasty.  It better work with all the BS i've gone through.

No writeup for tonights game as I couldn't really find a strong opinion.  Even though it's a low total, we'll roll with the OH system again since it's been so nice to us.  GL tonight gents. 

tried out the OH system for the first time during the heat game the other night, cashed 1h so I'm rollin with it again! cheers bud

OH system keeps chuggin along...Numbers are creeping lower and lower, yet the bad Pacers offense and good defense keeps cashing.

The Pacers are at a really weird spot right now.  They are so anxious to get to the post-season that they are forgetting about taking care of business against the lesser quality teams, but their track record against the Cavs is pretty good.  They've won 15 out of 16, and Kyrie is still out.  Waiters can cause problems, but that's about it.  I know it's really hard to put money on the Pacers right now, and I'm certainly not ready to do it.  Cavs have played decent the last few games, and have won 3 of 4 (against terrible teams though), but I read some quotes from both teams and if you didn't know who or what the teams were, you'd think both teams were lottery teams.  Lots of disappointment and frustration on both teams, and in this spot it's really hard to pick a team to support.  IMHO both teams are unbettable from a side perspective from here on out until we get to the playoffs.

I'll keep on the OH system as long as it keeps cashing though.
