I have been wagering sports now for decades. NFL is my favorite sport to watch, but for wagering NBA is my favorite. This is because I love the game, I think I understand it well, and well there are so many games each day to review.
Over my many years of wagering NBA, I have used countless approaches and systems, but I have noticed one common thread... that is that wagering NBA on FRIDAYS presents the most problems. I can do well most all other days of the week, but when it comes to Friday, all the rules that worked on the previous days seem to get reversed on Friday.
Has anybody else noticed this phenomenon? It appears to me that Friday wagering all the rules get reversed.
I'd like to hear if others have noticed this themselves.

haha.. been wagering for years now. If it happens this week it wont happen next week. vegas=unpredictable. But if you are smart then you might get 1 or 2 picks a week that is almost a surebet. Goodluck.

OK a couple responses, but you guys clearly do NOT get the gist of what I have observed, nor what I was asking with my post.
Of course sports wagering can be very unpredictable, and of course dogs are the play some days (unpredictably) more than others. Just so happens I wagered mostly dogs last night, and they were all losers. Not the answer
I'm asking if any others on this forum have witnessed the phenomenon that I have. That is that FRIDAY and friday only seems to defy all methods and strategies.
If nobody can agree with what I have observed, then so be it. but please chime in if this has been your experience.

Nba players do party. They are millionairs, in the prime of their lives, and famous to boot. I know they drink while in other cities (I was at a bar and met jalen rose a few years ago, he was PISSED).
I mean, it's not the largest factor, but may matter, if you are playing shitty minny or something, and you are thinking about the sexy girl you are meeting at the club in a few hours....
Look at christmas day, and other holiday games, they are always a little weird. Maybe it is just that 10% distraction...
Another thought;
Friday nights at an nba arena are typically pretty insane, probably the craziest night of the week. That much chaotic energy floating around could definitely affect the players - consciously or subconsciously.
Just my 2 cents for ya.

OK this in an interesting response. I'm not sure that Friday has very much direct effect upon NBA players, seeing that they do not work a "normal" workweek schedule. But the effect on NBA players in the vernacular that all those around them behave differently on Friday is compelling. The "groupie" chicks are out in full force on Friday's, as is the the friends and family that demand tickets to see the game (more so than any other night of the week). This can have an effect on the NBA players as well.
What the true cause is, is not the question. I have witnessed it, and it does exist. I'm more interested in how to understand the effect and profit from the effect. I think I already know, but it's nice to see other's perspectives...

There are no "rules" that correspond to days, in my opinion. Trends regarding days of the week, to me, are the most worthless trends out there. I guess I could see an argument regarding weekend games given the availability of distractions, especially on away games, but I'm still not confident that its not just something that you are seeing because you are attempting to find a pattern in the random chaos and data.

I haven't noticed it myself. What I have noticed is that some days, everything goes out the window and you go can go 0-6, thus is is prudent to not over extend yourself with too many plays on anyone day.
in reference to the theory "its friday night and its the weekend", remember, these are pro-atheletes with irregular schedules who are travelling all the time. I am sure they don't know what day it is half the time. They don't have the office worker schedule, so the notion that "its friday night" has much less meaning to them.

Haven't been following it of late, but as of a few weeks ago the Raptors were great on Fridays with a solid record for whatever reason and they won last night too...
