Very frustrated last night as everything I posted in my thread pointed toward a play on the Sixers and the under. Instead, I laid off those and settled on a Sixers first half bet, which thanks to their abyssmal second quarter knocked some coin out of the money jar. Then watching the second half boiled me up knowing I had the game pegged. A loss is a loss and last night I was 0-1 and down 2k.
Indiana Pacers +0.5 first qtr (15 units to win 15)
Miami / Indiana OVER 182 (15 units to win 14.23)
With all due respect to Larry Bird, and I have a ton of that for him, he needs to recognize athletes today are not like they were when he was banging. The 2012 Pacers don't have a Parrish. No McHale. No DJ. No Ainge. I get what he was doing with his comments and I think he needed to say something, but I think encouraging words would have a greater impact on today's youthful Pacers than calling them soft. Er, S-O-F-T. He was 100% accurate in calling them soft, but now the players carry not only the pressure of winning a game 6 with elimination st stake, but they must also find a way to prove to their boss that they are not soft. Ultimately, the two might work hand in hand, but also possible their effort to not be soft forces them to lose focus on their execution on the court. While Bird was right, he really should have laid it on the starters as they are the ones who have lacked the toughness most in this series. They have also been the ones who have let Lebron and DWade beat them without much help from anyone else on the Heat roster. During the year, the Pacers allowed opposing starters to score 67% of their teams points. In this series, that number has risen to 78%. The starters have been soft. The starters have been inconsistent. The starters have been downright brutal at times to be honest. They get a shot to reverse all that tonight, and I think they opening the game with an exceptional start.
Unfortunately, I think the Pacers fade in this game and ultimately I expect the Heat to win, cover and move on to the Eastern Conference Finals. I will be actively stalking an in game bet on the Heat and/or jump on them at halftime.

I agree. I think the Pacers rally and energize the arena early. Then reality sets in with a gimpy Granger. The Heat calm down, coolly retake the fort and walk away with the victory in the later stages.

Great handicapp, this is how its done. I had heat for game and took them in game at + money and +3 when they were down early, seems that had a good read on how to beat this team after winning game 4.

Frank - thanks buddy, appreciate it. I thought Indy would motivate enough to save face, but talent would take over as the game moved on. Granger going out hurt, but congrats to the Heat. Time to cap who will meet them in the ECF

WHY DONT YOU TRY AND POST THESE PLAYS BEFORE THE GAME ENDS. EVERYTIME I SEE YOU POST A PLAY IT LOSES. JUST LIKE THE TUESDAY NIGHT YOU POSTED UNDER 181 IN THE HEAT GAME FOR 4000 AND AFTER IT LOSES YOU WRITE IT WAS A TYPO I ONLY BET 400.
