I'm a huge Laker fan and didn't have anything on the game so for me the game was pretty awesome to watch BUT the refs were clearly favoring the Lakers here big time. I don't know how much it would have mattered from a win loss perspective because the MAvs were just off, and had no answer for the laker bigs AND Kobe was out of his mind good tonight but they definitely had officials helping them more so than Dallas. My favorite play was sometime in the 2nd half and the lakers tipped the ball towards steve blake who caught it under the basket with more than half his foot on the out of bounds line right in front of the official. The Official completely ignored it and Blake just dribbled down the court like nothing happened lol. Even the crowd got REALLY quiet after it happened. Having nothing on the game I laughed. Would have been irate if I had been backing the Mavs. I thought Dirk honestly should have been sent to the line many more times tonight on plays he clearly got fouled but the way he was shooting them who knows if it would have helped.
I have been watching tons of NCAA and NBA lately and it's crazy how much better officiating NCAA has. It's more physical and there aren't superstars that get special treatment. Occasional block/charge mistake but they let the players decide the games- in the NBA I'm not going to say it's rigged but many times I feel that the refs don't truly let the players decide the outcome of the games.
Let's be honest. Truthfully if you were to hear a CNN story that an NBA betting syndicate was exposed and 25-30 NBA refs were found guilty of influencing the games for personal benefit or for the leagues benefit(IE getting the Lakers in the playoffs, getting the heat to the finals etc) would anyone in here be surprised? I mean seriously would you be completely shocked and amazed? I'm not suggesting anything I'm not saying it's rigged but I also believe NO-ONE would find this to be unbelievable if it ever came to fruition.
Thanks for your honest opinion. It was actually refreshing to read your post.
Like I said, I am unbiased towards the Heat and Lakers and I even made money betting on the Lakers today (LAL -3.5 and the under 207). Im just explaining what I see as an unbiased spec.
