   POD: Washington -2.5

Washington would not seem to be a particularly strong play here. They just beat Boston last game (time for letdown?). They are on a back-to-back (b2b record only slightly positive: 5-4). They will play New York again the very next game at home (tendency to ease off? ...because revenge, if necessary, would be immediately available?).

However, I still have to go with Washington. They will either suck it up and try to do what a PRO team should try to do... and try to go for 4 wins in a row or they will psychologically fold and slack off and rest. I suspect they will suck it up and try to win against a not-very-good New York team.

Marbury is not playing (advantage: Wash). Also, when Washington is favored by < 10 point or less, they win by an average of 8.9 points. New York is only getting 2.5 points (?). There is either something I'm not aware of... or this is pretty good darn "value".
