You're right, he won't score 24. But I'll bet he gets more than 8 assists. And someone like Deng, Boozer, or Bogans goes 15-20 points over their season average to pick up the scoring slack. There's no shortage of scorers in this league, and these guys will be happy to get more looks than they would if Rose is in the lineup.

Players in the NBA have a tendancy to pay close attention to the schedule and standings.  This will be the 2nd of a short two game road trip for the Magic and I can promise you they are anxious to go home.  But this doesnt mean they will overlook a team they have already beaten by 20 this year.  Actually I can see Van Gundy preaching to continue playing well right before they go home for a long stretch of home games in FEB.

Have you checked the ref assignments for that Jazz game ? Not conducive to a home favorite at all.

First of all, I agree with Bator, picks looks good.  Secondly, there is so much to love about the Bulls without Rose.  If you have seen his shooting percentages of late they are well below his average.  Bulls will rack up the points without D Rose right now.  This could be the Bulls best spot in a while, especially with Boozer in the game.
I'm not sure if I like the Suns yet, could be a look ahead for Boston, but they still want to play hard to shape up for the Lake show on sunday.  The line movement and ESPN televised home dog on friday night gives that pick some solid clout.
Nbafan, what are your thoughts on Den/Cle?  Denver is hot right now, but that line is tricky!

The refs don't really favor either way on the o/u. I like too many sides tonight to even think about playing totals.

Very tricky indeed. I would stay away as the nuggets will probably just go through the motions in the first half... if they are somehow down at halftime i'll take them for the 2H.

While I also like the Bulls tonight I just wanted to share an interesting stat that I have in the spread sheet I keep for the NBA:

Over the last 4 season road favorites laying 1 point and getting over 60% or higher of the public action (according to the Covers consensus) have gone a very respectable 28-18-3.  Looking at just this season however the trend has flipped to 5-7-3 in these spots.  For those also interested in the O/U of those games they were 27-22 in favor of the Under.

Punch in the bulls and jazz already, what are you waiting for nba?  Both rose and williams are out.  jazz are way overdue for a cover vs a bad team (&@home) and don't even let me bring up the chicago line, wtf.
