NBA Cup Play, what's the point

Last season at this time we had for some their 2nd Cup games and some their debut. We're set for some blowouts as last year we saw teams winning by large Marge margins: Wolves by 40, Cavs by 33, OKC by 31 and Nuggs by 25. So where are the blowouts tonight. I'll try to find them soon. Traditionally teams playing their 1st Cup games (Cavs/Hawks/Jazz/Pels) do well vs teams playing their 2nd when they are 1-0 already (Sixers/Wiz/Celtics/Wolves). NBC no betting over coffee for me....more info to come.

I like teams playing their 1st Cup game tonight against teams that are already 1-0 in the Cup as I think it makes for a high scoring game where the 0-0 team tries to get point differential going, meaning score and win by a lot of points to catch that 1-0 team. Thus,

The Group that has Mavs and Jazz is pretty interesting as Nuggets at 1-0 only hold a very small +2 point differential over Mavs and only +7 over Jazz. To me that would indicate if I were Mavs and Jazz, I'd try to win this matchup tonight with a big scoring differential which imo equates to a lot of shots and lots of points.

over 225.5 Jazz/Mavs

Thunder and Grizz in the Group with Wolves and Wolves have a huge 27pt differential BUT neither OKC nor Memphis have played yet, meaning whoever wins this game needs to cut down on that Minny pt diff which means this should be a barn burner.

I'll be tuned up by the Prime my Blazers matchup with Lakers in Group play and my thoughts are Lakers sit at 0-1 whilst (homage to my friend AussieDownUnder) Warriors sit atop the Group at 1-0...I cannot see the League not wanting smiling Luka in the Cup mix and Warriors remaining Cup schedule is at Spurs, hosting Sactown Ladies, then at Blazers so Ws could easily go 1-2 in that stretch whilst Lakers face hosting Blazers tonight (W) then host Sac (W) then pivotal game at Spurs so if they run the table can win Group and overtake Ws
