Memphis vs Dallas ( most intriguing game??? )

So let's start with Memphis

I think memphis should just let dallas win to avoid the thunder and get the spurs..cause i believe memphis have a higher chance in beating the spurs instead of the thunder..last year was different since some of them were injured and now seems like they improved as well..if they continue grinding it out against this oldies then maybe they can win the series just like what happened when they beat the spurs the last time in the playoffs. And why would they even want okc..how can they stop that freakishly newly crowned mvp(ooppps!) even if they get physical with him..he will just shoot over you and with westbrook back how will they stop that...

As for the Mavs..

Overall i think opposite to what i memphis should get..okc..i believe they have a much better matchup with okc than the spurs..why??? cause they can run and shoot the lights out with okc..also they have dirk to match kd and monta with westbrook....and i can't remember the last time they beat the spurs..lol...whenever they played them they always look like lost with the constant ball movement of the spurs..with okc..no ball movement etc..lol or should i say ball movement with westbrook and kd...lol

I agree, I think Memphis will give the Spurs fits.  They will make Duncan work both ends and can get him in foul trouble.    Tony Allen could potentially slow down whoever he guards.  Could be a long series if they meet.

OKC and Detroit.....

OKC NEEDS to win this game.... if they lose and Clipps beat Portland... CLipps will over take OKC for the 2nd seed. 

No way OKC going down to detroit today.

I guarantee you the MAVS want this game as bad as anyone. They know the freight train that IS the San Antonio Spurs.

Does Dirk gonna play? Last game he was like humping around...Thinking if they'll not risk him and wait until the playoffs start...

Dirk can match up with KD in a sense that obviously no one can guard or even stop him..Dirk can somehow exchange some shots with KD down the stretch..Like a go-to-guy...when they need points Dirk can deliver of course KD will get his usual 30+pts but when someone on the other team that you can lean on then maybe it can somehow offset whatever KD is throwing..unlike that Grizz..I don't even know who their go-to-guy is..lol

Wrong analysis. Memephis would much rather play okc then the spurs. They give okc problems. They have beat them this year and put them out of the playoffs last year. Spurs swept the grizz last year and have smacked them every game this season!

But what bothers me with this Dallas squad was...Why do they always find a way to bust out or choke themselves..How many big leads did they let go..Luckily they won majority of them....They're kinda like Minnesota..who likes to blow big leads..lol..but with a winning percentage and can get the job done..unlike Minnesota(if somehow majority of their lapses translates into wins..then maybe they've been to the playoffs by now..

Memphis barely even beat them..win by only a possession and also got Gasol back....OKC was leading majority of the game...Westbrook was still out that time...So imagine if Westbrook was playing at that time..Then that should've been a double-digit win by OKC..

A letdown spot for Grizz after that emotional and tough win over Suns. Mavs to win here.

The talent disparity if any at all between reggie jackson and westbrook will not change everything. The grizz will adjist to westbrook as well as they are built to beat teams like okc. plugging in westbrook does not automatically equal double digit wins. 

And memphis doeant care who they play its irrelevant to them. 

They bust dallas tonight.

  not so fast.  Spurs OWN Memphis. Look at recent history.  Memphis is playing good ball again after a TERRIBLE 5 game road trip. That being said I think this spot could be a let down for Memphis after the big win to secure a playoff slot in Phx.  Spurs are the best TEAM in the league. 

However like the previous poster said, I don't think Memphis cares who they play.  This Memphis team is way better than last years.  They will give whoever they play fits.

Neither team wants to play Spurs.   Grizzlies have lost 14 of last 16 against them and i think Dallas has lost 9 straight to them??  I believe thats right but not 100 percent sure.    Grizzlies play the thunder well.  Every year the season series is close and i know westbrook didn't play in playoffs but westbrook, durant and HARDEN were playing when grizz took them to 7 games in playoffs a few years ago.  

NO ONE WANTS THE SPURS!

Tough game to cap though as each game this year between dallas/memphis the grizzlies have been missing at least 2 starters with one game missing 3.     Also Conley tweaked a hamstring last game so who knows how well he will respond.  I'm leaning towards Dallas plus 3.5

Have to disagree here. The spurs have the grizzlies number ever since they got beat as a #1 seed a couple years ago. Pops is the best coach in the league today and the only I've seen that knows how to game plan against Zbo. On the other hand, the grizz have had success against the thunder since scott brooks is a terrible coach and Zbo/Gasol always dominates them. Don't really like this number tonight at 3.5 after the big win in phoenix. Love the under 191 though. This game should be low scoring and go at memphis' pace tonight

Clearly OKC is a better mathc up for the Grizz. 

The Grizz beat OKC. Especially if they turn them into a bunch of jump shooting chuckers. Grizz's whole MO. 

But I tihnk this year Durant, westbrook, Butler, jackson will find ways to penetrate and score from the paint. 

All this changes in the playoffs. The Grizz are a playoff team. IF they end up playing the Spurs I dont see them go down lightly. They will make adjustments and they can match up with them as well. 

That back court with tony allen, lee, connelly, Calathes is no feckin joke. And we know what they do in the front court..... arguably best in the league along with the Clipps.

well Lee has been horrible for about 2 months now, prince is awful, and calathus is a crap shoot every night.   Spurs will kill the grizzlies in a the playoffs and i'm a HUGE grizz fan with season tickets.   Spurs exploit our non scorers and have been taking away advantage down low.     If Spurs/Grizz playoff series happens i'm placing a large wager on Spurs for the series even with big odds as i don't see any chance grizz win that series.

If both teams are trying to avoid spurs, i guess taking over 191 is the safest bet

Agreed. Would absolutely love to see Tony Allen and Mike Miller get a lot more minutes in the playoffs. Tony Allen makes so many crucial plays that just don't show up in the box score and brings a ton of energy. Mike Miller has been INCREDIBLE since the all-star break.. 3pt, mid range, dribble drive. He should be starting IMO but then we would have no scorers off the bench. Give Tony and Mike 25+ mpg please Coach Joerger!

too bad ref decided the outcome.. how come ref always determine the last game. I doubt the ref would call that again for the conley...he basically bully himself in without even trying to make the basket.... he got awarded for doing that
