Absolutely not, I think he's gone. No current NBA transcendent star (or someone who THINKS he is a transcendent star) is gonna want to play in Salt Lake City. I'm sorry, its just the way of the world. They want to be in Dallas, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, etc.., not the Sacramento, Indiana, Charlotte, or Milwaukees of the world.
I have always liked Williams' individual game as a power PG, but my opinion of the PG position is that the number one responsibility for that person is to be a leader and uniter of the team. You will see the most dysfunctional teams in the NBA, historically, are those with a PG who doesn't give a **** (I'm looking at you, Stephon Marbury, Steve Francis, Allen Iverson... I could go on) about the rest of his team. If what we are reading about Williams blaming everyone else for losses is true, then I will have lost a lot of my respect for him as a player. Sloan leaving basically tells me that he legitimately believed that the new ownership was listening to the players over him. If you would have told me before the season what are the odds that Sloan resigns in the middle of the NBA regular season, I would have said you are freaking insane. For this to happen, there must have been a significant, significant problem where Sloan felt that he didn't have management supporting him.
I have to imagine that this is not gonna go over well in Utah amongst their fan base. I wouldn't be surprised if we start hearing some boo birds for Deron at home.
Let's face it Kap, most NBA starts are classless jerks who can never admit a mistake (LBJ) but their athletisism and god given talents allow them to coast and live in their little bubble (LBJ). This will never change, I wish there could be more Kevin Durant's in the NBA. It would be a classy league if there were more KD's in the NBA. Nice info bro.

Ditto Gilberto, I have seen the info you put into some of your selections and am very impressed myself. Hope to see you provide more consistent thoughts on NBA games, this forum DESPERATELY needs more individuals posting thoughts and analysis and less attention hogs and straight up bullshit. It is getting a bit ridiculous. Thanks for the post and kind words, hope to see you around.

Hey Mak, Bodio has some great insight on games you should stop by his threads whenever you get a chance. Just lettin you know not that you need any extra info.

Nene's performance is the key to Denver winning this game.
If Denver can't somewhat control the paint, they have no chance. Nene likely is feeling close to 100% after having the flu earlier this week. Tough game to call with Denver having to come back from GSW.

its always easier to understand and read, than speak and write
its not i dont like you, i think you think you are special and it was about your betting line you are getting was sometime too good.
Yep English is 2nd language. I used to get made fun of in school when I first arrived in Canada.
Yes true, your only problem with me was the prices I obtained but I replied to you in detail explaining how you can obtain those lines. We were fine. That is until today where you plainly state "I am not a good capper...just a good writer" That was not a correct assessment and it was a weak attempt at an insult. I would love to arrogantly state where I really think my NBA capping ability is compared to many professionals out there, but I don't and never will. Instead I will prove to you and every single member of Covers where my capping ability is in the national basketball association. Check back with me in April and June.

I really feel like there is A LOT more to than Jerry Sloan resignation than what is being said now.
How many successful coaches have ever resigned mid-season? I can name a few, but all of those can be attributed to health reasons, or internal affairs in the organization.
Sloan had a lot going for him in Utah. And it is just flat out strange with this resignation. It will be interesting to hopefully find out what led up to this and not wanting to finish the season. Very unusual since he has one of the hardest work ethics of any NBA coach to just quit like he did.

Actually I just saw Bodio's thread for the first time yesterday, thanks for letting me know bro that is good looking out. Are Bodio, Bator, Milkman, CMJohnson, Mikado and myself the only people on the entire NBA forum that actually provide insight or info as to why they like certain teams? That in my opinion is just very very sad, compared to the posts we have on the NBA forum, that is downright pitiful.

Exactly. There's no way that it was this one incident that did it. Something must have been brewing for a while, I wonder if we will ever get the true story of what happened internally

you born 17 jan 1985 i think, why you think i know your birthday,? because i follow you , i don't hate you.
i remember you posted at your birthday here.
may be if we meet in person , you and i will realize, we are really different in real life, i do have tough time to write what i really think here
i feel bad , my enlglish is very limited.
i bet in sports since 1992 , yes i was only 15 , but my father was doing it, i started to make little 5$ bets here and there
i am way more experienced that you think, it s just sometime, it s hard to write well like you here.

i understand you saying at the end of the year if you make money, thats good, i didnt really pointed your losing streak, everybody have losing streak, i just wanted to say, you have no business saying other people are helpless.

Man I would have loved it if YOU felt confident in your boys tonight Mikado. I trust your info on this team over anyone. Gun to your head....where does Mello land after the trade deadline? NJ, NY or DEN? In my opinion it would be silly for NY to trade for him now, he is coming there anyways. It is his #1 choice, NJ knows it, LAL knows it and so does Denver. I think if LAL could bring him over somehow (which is very unlikely) Kobe and co. could sway him to sign with Los Angeles, his wife would not mind being in LAL at all. I think Brewer, Wilson Chandler a 1st round pick and 2 future secound round picks is a decent offer for a guy who does not want to be there in about 6 months. What do you think Mikado? One of the 5 threads I actually open is yours :)

Possible prostitution ring busted up in SLC that had Sloan and Johnson's name attached to the affidavit?
Who knows... but I wouldn't be too shocked if it was something totally effed up like that. Utah is a pretty strange place with a lot of weird crimes.

it s useless to mention english is you 2nd language.

I try my hardest. I admit I am a follower, but only because I feel the people I am following have more of an edge than me. I have learned alot from all the people you have mentioned and they always seem to make picks that I see myself on the other square side of. Usually situations where it's a public team visiting a not public team that I can't find the value in to bet on, but those guys find it for me. Anyway, I just saw the lines for tomorrow, your T wolves look like they might be in a great spot at the pacers, but Let's get the money!

I would love it too... If I didn't have the flu I would likely go to the game. However the last one I saw against Utah seemed like Denver should have won playing with a healthy squad... but they are starting to seriously look broken right now. No matter how much I would be feeling them tonight, I cannot overlook how inconsistent they are playing right now. They are having serious issues boxing out and not hustling enough for the loose balls outside of maybe Affalo and Lawson (two guys you can at least count on to having some kind of consistency to their game). Like I said, if Nene is feeling better (but who knows the flight back might have set him back a little bit) I would back them 100%. But I seriously don't think Nene will have all his energy on this one, but yet he is going to have a great game under Center.
What I think would be optimal is for Denver to move Nene to a PF position since he can shoot from a decent range outside the paint and play good perimeter defense. Denver needs a true Center. Imagine if Denver actually had the team that could box out and grab the majority of the boards. This is their main weakness and something needs to be corrected in this team soon.
As for the Melo trade. Hard to say where he's going to land... but I agree with you, he's going to land somewhere else very soon. A lot of people in Denver including myself are looking forward to getting him out of here. It is pretty disturbing to see him always chucking and grinning after he screws up or does something wrong. It is part of his nature; that's not turning negative into positive, its just a poor attitude. Denver already has enough sparkplugs, I honestly think if they can flip a few of them (Melo, JR Smith, Harrington, K-Mart) and bring in younger guys and rebuild around Billups and Nene, they will still be a playoff team. NY doesn't seem to have the assets. NJ has put together the best looking deal so far but still sucks. The LA rumor sounds like a bunch of the ESPN guys went out drinking other night and that's what they came up with to put on Sportscenter.
Honestly, ship him to Jersey or friggin Toronto - I don't care. They deserve at least a first round pick for trading Anthony - most likely a top 5 pick from a lottery team like NJ or Toronto (it's not that far from NY haha). Colangelo also seems to be involved with trades that make zero sense at all, so I wouldn't really be that shocked.
My prediction is right before deadline he gets traded, however he has to sign that extension 1st before the trade deadline before any teams are going to show much interest in him now. If I had to play your guessing game with everything I know now - I'd say he goes to the Nets. The whole putting the offer off the table was a classic move by the Nets... its still very much there. But that is only if he signs the extension, if he doesn't I think it would be more apparent he has his heart set on free-agency where the Knicks can pick him up and discuss a new contract under the new CBA.

Best of luck on your play tonight on the Thuggs. I personally do not watch much of the NBA but do turn in the home town team from time to time and it is truly frightening. They are the biggest bunch of miscreants in the history of the league.
I too made this bet about a month or two ago. Kmart was hurt and coming back as was Birdman and I thought, here we go, this team will now roll. It was the first game they would ALL BE TOGETHER IN SOME TIME I THOUGHT THIS IS TOO EASY. Well, they went out and played another lackluster game. If they want to and are on their game I BELIEVE THEY CAN COMPETE AND POSSIBLY BEAT ANYONE IN THE LEAGUE. However, figuring out when they are going to bring the "A" game is almost impossible. They are in a terrible funk with a lot of unhappy players. I think Karl would love to get out of here also. I have had a good year fading them most nights and tonight will not be any different. I know they are healthy and that they should get up for this game but this team will never surprise me with its lack of desire, IT ONLY SURPRISES ME THE NIGHTS THAT IT ACTUALLY PLAYS. Thinks about this statement as it is quite profound.
I tail you 99% of the time and will hate myself in the am if I lose (as honestly I am not that good of a capper) but I do feel I know this Thugget team and I would not trust them any night right now. Too many bad things on the horizon. I work too hard to bet hard earned money on those tatoo crazy thugs (put K-mart at the top of that list )

Loved the Suns situation and had them 1st half. Wish they didn't go on this late 2nd Q run to put them up by so much. Or else I would take them 2nd half as well. Suns cannot hold leads!

Are Bodio, Bator, Milkman, CMJohnson, Mikado and myself the only people on the entire NBA forum that actually provide insight or info as to why they like certain teams? That in my opinion is just very very sad, compared to the posts we have on the NBA forum, that is downright pitiful.
An incorrect assertion. Perhaps your horizons need broadening. I think you are narcissicist.
