What’s up gents.Slight profit on Sunday ending off another nice week in the association.I was impressed with a few things on
Sunday.Apart from San An’s dominance
which was foreseen, I was very impressed with New York.I can see why they are leading the league in
points in the paint, Dantoni has implemented a lot of very nice screen and roll
plays near the basket that compliment his players style.Amar’e and Felton are playing with great
confidence and I am amazed at Landry Fields.By far the steal of the 2010/2011 NBA draft class. The additional assistance in the rotation
Shawne Williams is providing, may be crucial to the Knicks future success.Another thing that stood out to me on Sunday’s
slate was Blake Griffin.I stated this
in my preseason threads but I reiterate; this guy is pronominal, something very
special.Portland may join Detroit as my
2nd blacklisted team this year.It is
very hard to cap this team.I have no
faith in their bench being productive on the offensive end at all, but on paper
this team screams brilliance.Their lack
of consistency is very dangerous when betting for or against them, with the
addition of Priz their bench looks very good defensively. If Rudy and Batum can provide 2nd unit
scoring production and Roy continues to battle through the arthritic knee, this
team is back.
Tonight I am going with a road dog and the home squad in a
marquee matchup.I have backed Minny in
their last 3 games but am hesitant to do so tonight due to Beasley’s status
combined with the revenge factor.New
York played impeccable ball yesterday and proved to me they are legit, they
have a lot of heart and will be up for this game tonight.Despite that Minny in my eyes is too good to
be +7 to NYC but due to the aforementioned facts I will pass on them tonight.I advise caution to all you backing Miami
hard.If you feel a Heat victory then I implore
you to just take it easy with the wager.Yes I as well think the Cavs game allowed them to pave a new path for
themselves this season.Nevertheless, it
will be very hard for the Heat to progress rapidly as a unit on the road due to
the constant hostility they will face in visiting arenas. No matter what games you guys decide to play,
I wish you the best of luck.Peace - - -

CHICAGO BULLS – 3.0 (-120) - - - Finally, meaningful marquee
matchups have returned to the United Center.Once home to some of the greatest games of all-time, Chicago has endured
years of mediocrity. In my opinion this
will be the first season since MJ that the Bulls host a 2nd round playoff
series. This is really not the time I
wished to back the Bulls, especially against a young talented group like the
Thunder.I was hoping to wait a few
weeks until Boozer gets acclimated in the system then start backing the Bulls
to the bank.I just couldn’t help myself
on today's particularly dull card to start backing the Bulls. Now, having said all that the Thunder could easily cover this
spread, they could easily win this game outright.KD, R Dub and the Green Mile are as good as
it gets as an offensive trio, I love Ibaka and Thabo and think their always
improving bench is decent with Harden and Collison. However, this is Chicago’s time.Even if they lose this game by double digits
I will continue to back these Bulls.I
can’t remember the last time Chicago had a big man like Boozer before.Boozer is a big man that you can feed in the
post for easy baskets, a big man down low who can draw fouls...does everyone
realize what a rare commodity an automatic low post scorer is in the NBA?Boozer is that 2nd option that Chicago has
been lacking ever since acquiring Rose.Deng was never going to legitimately be the “Robin” or as the Cleveland
nation would say “Scottie Pippen.”Bulls
needed someone else to take over and now they have it.This not only gives you a legit 20/10 all-star
in your starting 5, it moves Taj Gibson to an already devastating 2nd
unit.Gibson is a stud, he is the
perfect matchup for Durant and Green. He
is long, athletic, lean and has a very good vertical. His IQ and timing for rebounding make him a
huge asset off the bench.Korver and
Brewer are really starting to find their role, both players have played with
Boozer and seem to compliment him well when out on the floor together.C.J Watson was my only concern, but after his
outstanding 30+ point performance in place of an injured Rose, he now has the
confidence to get it done night in and night out.Even Omer Asik and Kurt Thomas will be
valuable big bodies in a long playoff series.Bulls have already proven themselves to be a formidable team in the East
without Boozer.Coach Thib has his boys
playing hard defense and grinding out victories.Chicago is currently #3 in the NBA in
rebounds, #3 in blocked shots and # 7 in steals. This Bulls aren’t babies anymore baby.Their time is now.

TORONTO RAPTORS + 9 (-125) - - -Yesterday’s incorrect read
on my boys puts me at 6-3 on the season, 13-5 on overall leans. I just really think match-ups are advantageous
to Toronto in this spot. It is becoming obvious
as the season progresses that the Knicks and Bucks are front-runners for taking
the 6th and 7th spots in the Eastern Conference. I really believe it will be a huge battle for
the 8th spot and these two teams are my favorites to take home the coveted
prize of being swept by Boston, Miami, Orlando or Chicago in the first round of the playoffs. Tonight I think the Raps can keep it
respectable and within single digits maybe even steal this one outright
although I doubt it. Don’t get me wrong
the Pacers ARE as good as everyone thinks they are. They are capable of blowing out good teams at
home let alone the mediocre Raps.
Nevertheless, matchup wise the Raps mix well with Indy. Hibbert is a 7’2 stud who can finish in the
lane. Bargnani is 7’0 with a large
wingspan and he has improved his defensive post stance and may be able to
disrupt Roy. If not he will at least
take Hibbert out of his comfort zone on defense and take him away from the rim
due to his 3pt range. Brandon Rush is a
good shooter but DeRozan is bigger, faster and stronger and should win that
matchup. Amir Johnson coming off a 24
and 16 game looks to be playing the best basketball of his young career, it
will be a nice battle between Amir and Josh tonight. Danny Granger scares me a bit, Sonny Weems
has the swagger to guard him but not the intelligence, Toronto will need to
provide constant help defense in order to try and contain Danny. The Raptors still have the most productive
bench in the NBA in terms of efficiency differential. They can outscore any bench in the NBA. The PG combo of Bayless and Jose will outplay
and outperform Collision and Ford tonight.
Ed Davis continues to impress and will have to battle an array of bigs
that Indy has including Foster and Tyler but I suspect Solo to be the lone big
man to get minutes off the Indy pine tonight.
Lastly I think Kleiza, Barbosa & Peja (who will play tonight) can
and will outshine Posey & Dunleavy in bench production. This is a Raps game I would normally lay off
of, but the spread has the value and I’ll go with the road dog tonight in Indy.

Helped me not overthink the Spurs last night. As soon as the line moved upon hearing West was playing, I knew It was golden.
Nice veo. Matt Bonner was awesome yesterday, really like the Spurs rookie Gary Neal. Another huge gem found by the Spurs. That first half of basketball was some of the best offense I have seen all season. San An is very dangerous indeed. Thanks for the post, BOL with your wagers tonight.

where did you find raptors +9? I actually never get the lines you have unless you already locked those in yesterday or something
Belvedere, this is the 3rd question you have asked me that clearly shows that you do not read anything I write. All you do is glance at the pick and units. I no not adhere to tailors, I am here to provide insight and analysis to those who pick their own games and just want an opinion. The -125 next to the + 9 means it cost me more to have +9. What does it matter anyways? Obviously if I didn't think the Raps could cover the +7.5 I wouldn't wager 4 units on it.

I don't see how Memphis can win this game. The altitude back to back is always killer. Denver to Utah can be a draining b2b, the Jazz men are rested and have had come cooking for quite some time, that is when they are most dangerous. The spread however is not enticing at all and considering the fact that I like the Griz roster, I would rather stay away raems. Best of luck with your wagers.

Hey Mak, with you on your Raptors tonight! Hopefully two smiling faces and not just one, like yesterday. though i was off target with the rebounding thing. After you liked the Clippers yesterday, why not today? is it just me seeing a talented team, that unfortunately still doesn't know, a basketball game is 48 minutes?! Good luck on your plays, your write-ups are prolific, as always!

Insightful as usual Makaveli23. Respect your Raps knowledge, but I am on the other side of that game. A lot of blowout losses for the Raptors over the last year, and the Pacers, when they win
