This is correct. The top-to-bottom competition in the league was weaker back then. Point guards back were not as athletic as John Wall and Russell Westbrook. MJ was 195 pounds, Lebron is what, 260? MJ couldn't do half the things Lebron does in the league today, he uses his size and elevation to score in ways that are impossible to stop, while getting fouled on the majority of his drives, often not called. MJ was impossible to stop as well and I'm not even saying Lebron is better, but I agree with the above comment that you have to factor in the talent level of the average player(s) Jordan was dominating on any given play. There were great players back then but the overall talent level has evolved in a league full of hybrid players, big men who can shoot 3's, Point Guards who dunk all over the place.. and the speed of the game is faster today. It was more physical back then. Lebron thrives in physical games.
