I can't wait for tonights game! Its going to be a good one, lets see how the lakers adjust.... hopefully for laker backers, bynum is able to be more effective. Fisher/Farmar/Artest/Odom will all shoot much better from the outside, and we should see much better offensive flow from the lakers when these guys are hitting their open jumpers.
Last thing I am going to say about this: No doubt Kobe is respected for his skills, and his LEGENDARY work ethic (I wish I could focus and work half as hard!). As long as the team is winning, and kobe is performing, Kobe can say and do what he wants, people and the team will put up with anything. The difference is when things go wrong and he gets that condescending "wtf" scornful look on his face, it does not motivate, it deflates, and creates a feeling of "who the fuck does this guy think he is". He leads through his high level of performance, not through his personality.
Yeah, I am not in the locker room, but I know the history of kobe's personality and behavior over the last 10 years and I know the nature of human pshycology. What someone might say publicly is not necessarily how they feel personally. Anyone remember phils book where he destroyed kobe when he left the lakers in 2005? We never heard any of those comments publicly while he was actually the coach
For sure this is getting off track here, but Kobe is an intgruiging person because he is such a skilled player with some great attributes combined with big character and personality flaws.
Wallet, enjoy the game!
