Does anyone think that the in-game will get better then this? This seems to have a Knick dunk followed by a Knick "3" and blowout potential with the MSG crowd.

Would anyone lay $5K on this game to win $770??

Yes -- that was my thought at this number. I would normally wait to see if the in-game was better (After a celtics run etc) but this seems fairly low given the magnitude of this game and a fresh JR Smith. If the Knicks open up a 10-2 run early...it will not go below this IMO.

Just seeing how people feel about the game and if -650 may be as good as it gets to bet the ML. Thanks in advance everyone.

Come on man. NO WAY.Who cares if it is a blowout. It&#x27;s not like the sun rising. There will be a -650 ML down the road that will sink you if you make bets like these.Put $850 on the spread and even if you lose you can recover with that size bankroll...

I hear ya--and appreciate everyone&#x27;s responses.  I agree the Knicks are not the Heat -- but I would have to admit I would be shocked if the Knicks lost.&#xD;&#xA;The spread seems inflated to me so I was leaning the ML.&#xD;&#xA;Any thoughts on the in-game ML?  Better, worse etc?  Anyone have a time that they like to pull that in-game trigger?

Another thought -- why was the Clips only 3 points in the spread less then the Knicks tonight yet the Clips pre-game ML was only  -250 and the Knicks is -650.  Seems to me the books know something more about this game, trends etc.

In game ML of course can be good in the 1st Q but even then, how could you bet 5K or anything close to it on an in game ML?

That's poor bankroll management and you'll eventually lose it all doing crap like that.

Play the in game ML small. Nothing major...

Knicks should win but I wouldnt risk it.  If you feel inclined to play it parlay them moneyline with the Thunder or Penguins.

Thanks Scalabrine -- why do they even offer these -650 type MLs?  Because of large bankrolls or to throw off the betters on where they think the line actually is (see my Clips example above).  Thanks for the advice man.

Knicks have been starting off a little slow. Wait till you get a chance to get a look at the live line then make your bet.

People do bet it! You&#x27;re not the only guy thinking of dropping a couple thousand on that number. Plus, it&#x27;s an enticement to bet the spread given you get -110 vs. -650 and the spread is a whole different story. The spread is how books make the real money, not the ML.But the huge ML&#x27;s will always be available because there will always be people who drop huge sums on a &#x27;sure thing&#x27; and the sure thing doesn&#x27;t come in (see 18-0 Pats ML in 2008 against the Giants) and they will eventually sink you.

Great analysis. Thank you. Anyone has an opinion of which two MLs to put in a parlay? Rank the favorite ML's 1-3, not in terms of value but in terms of likelihood of winning.

this is just a bad bet because u never know who might have an off day. maybe one of those celtics guys go crazy and hit a bunch of treys. -650 is a monster to lay on any single game.

yes ... definitely wait... its a long game and first quarter spread is only -2.5... in other words u can afford to wait and hpoe boston goes up by 2.. which will drop the line below 500...

if you are hesitant to take the spread thinking it is too large and celtics may cover, isnt that enough reason to question laying 6.5-1 on the moneyline. If they were to play this game 6 times and celtics were to cover this spread 3 times in 6 games will they still lose the game all 3 times they cover? If so then make the bet. If the celtics win 1 of those 3 times then it is a bad bet.

I expect the knicks to destroy the celtics tonight but anything is possible. NBA where amazing happens...
