I'm not saying the other players are not to blame but everyone knows who takes the most heat for a loss it's the qb and that falls on Mannings shoulders just like it fell on Favre's shoulders when Minnesota lost. The fact of the matter is the Colts were 30 yards away from tieing the game and Manning threw a costly interception  that sealed their fate

Manning did not think Porter would jump that route and Manning knew Wayne had a bum knee so he shouldn't expect him to get that ball cuz he didn't do shit all game and now hes going to come to life with 4 minutes to go???   9-9 playoff record  Manning has a history of not living up to expectations in the post season

The reason is there is no reason.. MVP no doubt.. And a lot of people are saying he doesn't have any titles, but that being said, he is only 25 years old... For someone that is carrying his team on his shoulders, he is on par with the all time greats.. This year is huge for his success, however so he doesn't have to keep reading nerds on internet message boards knock his championship credentials

.. But naturally even if he wins the title, averages 52 ppg, 16rbg, 13 apg in a 16-0 sweep of the playoffs and beating the Lakers, people will still be hating on his game and talk about how it is tainted

Pretty simple he can have all the MVP regular season titles he wants but until he wins a ring and carries the supporting cast on his back he is not a MVP in my eyes. The great ones know how to win the big games not coast through the regular seasons putting up amazing stats.

He still has several years left on his plate but I think a change would do a world of wonders for him. Shaq, Big Z, Varejao, Gibson, Parker, and West are not going to get him that title help.

Naaaahh....I do not concede that an athlete should have a lot of records simply b/c they came into the league at 18 years old.

Last time I checked there have been quite a few that have come into the league young (even Darryl Dawkins) and many of them have flopped or not won a title or simply were not ready for the NBA.

Also, just b/c someone comes into the league young does not mean that the player will be successful year in and year out and most importantly have the durability and longevity and productivity necessary to be a stud year in and year out.

If LBJ passes Kareem which I feel he will, does not diominish the accomplishment.  When people looks inside the numbers, he may pass him in less games than what it took Kareem to get his numbers.....that's where the accomplishment lies....# of games it took to accomplish the feat.

LBJ is Oscar Robertson, Magic Johnson -- combined, re-incarnated with the ability to play above the rim......and there-in lies the stud that will attack record books the later part of this decade, barring injury.

The Cavs have a GM problem not a LBJ problem.

I still say, that when his career is over, B-Ball fans will monday morning QB his career and say he had average to below average teammates that would not have started on 80% (playoff teams) of the other teams rosters.....but somehow LBJ got them to excel and play well.

0 fucking rings that's all you hear Where were the Lakers when Kobe entered this league? Exactly they were pushing for a championship and then 4 years later at the age of 22 he gets his first ring. Now tell me where the Cavs were when LeBron made his debut? Exactly no where and one of the laughing stocks of the NBA much alike the Clippers and Nets of now. But in his 3rd season had taken hold of the NBA and it's team and brang them near a championship and playoffs and finally at the age of 25 he will get his first ring and you can assume it will be more to follow.

Kobe is great but he has had great players around him his entire career whereas LeBron has not. The addition of Shaq just shows how important the big man was to the Lakers and it will pay off this year. Haters dislike him cos he costs betters money and his on court arrogance is merely a display of his confidence and personality much like Jordan was. Kobe and his teammates are getting old and it will show this season

Better pure shooter or scorer??

 Ok.


Better overall player?? Not even close. He has age on his side that's about it. About 5 assists a game to go as well as a Finals appearance and back to back yrs with best record. That's quite a bit. Great player? YES. Better than LeBron? Hell fucking no.
