On the train ride back to Daejeon, GucciCapper spotted a few monks. GucciCapper believes we will see Malik Monk continue to play well tomorrow against the Blazers. Currently the line is +6.5 and GucciCapper expects it to fall significantly once Lilliard is ruled out. If Lilliard does play, GucciCapper still likes the play.
This is a classic Friday night letdown spot for the Blazers. The end of a long homestand where they have played well. The Blazers have had only one road game in January and that was a quick trip to Sacramento. Winners of 5 of the last 6 and three in a row at home, the Blazers look like they are finally hitting their stride. GucciCapper thinks they will not be focused on this game with an upcoming road game to Denver on the horizon.
On the contrary, the Hornets are as .500 a team as any team in the nba. If they lose tonight, this will be the first time this year that they are 3 games under .500. With Lamb back, GucciCapper expects a lot of guard play to dominate tomorrow. If Lilliard does not play, GucciCapper expects an outright win with the Hornets. If he does play, GucciCapper still expects the Hornets to keep this within the number. The loss of Zeller has hurt the Hornets but GucciCapper thinks Walker, Lamb and Monk to have big games tonight. The Hornets are in the midst of a long road trip, and GucciCapper believes they will keep this game close after getting blown out by the Clippers.
Maurice Harkless is already ruled out for this game. If Lilliard is ruled out, GucciCapper doesn’t think CJ and Evan Turner can compete with this deep backcourt. Nurkic will get his inside but GucciCapper expects the Hornets to be hot from the perimeter.
GucciCapper is locking in GucciCappers wager at +6.5. If the line does move because of Lilliard being out, GucciCapper would feel confident with anything +3.5 and higher. If he’s playing, GucciCapper thinks anything over 6 should be safe!
