Crazy game. Can't be mad with the capping. Warriors just made more plays at the end. They were trailing all game. It wasn't a bad play.

Sal, that was a game for diehards (and a game for the ages). You capped it right (though I wasn't buying the psychological angle) but hope was always there, and I tried to lay out why warrior fans should hold out hope. KD and Russ did not do themselves any favors by talking smack (more pressure to live up to). Kerr was out-coached (again), Curry didn't have a great shooting night (though he wasn't bad), Klay came up huge, refs swallowed there whistles (as predicted) the Thunder chocked (as usual), and the Warriors gave us the NBA version of the rope-a-dope (Ali would be proud).

It's hard to cap a starting backcourt to combine for 17 threes on the road, even Klay and Steph. Even if they make 14, which is obviously a crazy number, this play probably covers. Klay broke the previous playoff record for threes in a game by two. How in the hell are you supposed to predict that? Warriors needed to play probably their best game of their season to come out with this win, and it just so happened that they did that. Was not a bad play by any stretch, but you know haters gonna hate, it's just the way it is.

Tough loss on this one. No way to predict a record night by GSW.
You are right about Ali/Frazier, best fight ever...for the record Ali lost as his corner tried to throw in the towel and Frazier's corner threw it in first even though Frazier did not want to continue, while Ali asked his team to cut his gloves. There was a great documentary that showed Ali's corner readying to throw in the towel and you can literally see Frazier's corner throw in the towel seconds earlier.
Highway robbery that fight if you ask me. If anyone here hasn't seen it, I recommend you find the fight on youtube and watch every round. Frazier, my favourite fighter of all time because he had the heart of a lion. Even better is the documentary, Ali lost all respect from me for the way he treated Frazier.

Meant to say Fraziers corner threw in the towel even though he wanted to continue. On the other side, Ali did not want to continue. You see the absolute relief and surprise on Ali's face when he sees Fraziers corner throw it in.
Both fighters paid a heavy physical toll for that insane battle.

tough loss to have to take on the chin for us.....thunder looked to boss the game most of the way the same way they have the whole series almost...but they always allowed the warriors to stay at arms length which had me worried in the back of my mind...even as bad as the warriors have been made to look,they are not a team that you wanna have within 5 or 7 points of you going down the home stretch of a must win game......but the thunder just cudnt ever make a big run to land that killer blow and in the end oklahoma sort of blew it,the way we have seen durant and westbrook do so often in the past...looked like they abandoned the more cohesive style that has worked so well this playoffs and just played "us against the world" once more.
this was a game the thunder never "meant" to lose...but sumhow conspired to do so due to their own ill-discipline and mental fragility....sum of durants shots were oddly wild and ill-advised.
get em next time,my man..

well I already had my money down before seeing his post. I think the fix was in. The guy above me just said. "sum of durants shots were oddly wild and ill-advised." but wouldn't actually say it was fixed. Something didn't add up in that 4th quarter, playing at home and all. That just made no sense. If OKC plays a tighter game Monday or wins, then I'll know for sure Durant fixed it. Just unreal, up all game and then handed it off, like it was scripted.
