"The quickest way to kill the human spirit is to ask someone to do mediocre work"
been having the same season myself man, and it really discourages the hobby more than losing. In no way am I preferring to be down a large amount, but mediocre days cause for loss in interest.
BOL my friend
You got it man... this is brutal. I feel great about the work I'm doing.. and the results just aren't there. Not exactly losing interest... I'm just very disappointed and confused. NBA is one of my better sports historically and this year the games just aren't following the numbers as closely as in years past. To make things worse, I've done more work this year on research and perfecting my advanced statistical models but it's not helping at all. I'm banking on the playoffs to be more statistically predictable and that's when all this up front work will really pay off. I can do serious damage in the post season... and I will.

Have no doubt you will bro, perhaps the compressed season has something to do with it, the long stretches of games, the increased fatigue, increased travel over less time, all intangible variables that are hard to account for perhaps that dont bode well in your model. However all this will end once the post season begins because these variables will no longer be "as variable" if that makes any sense. Things will be more set decreasing the intangible statistics.
Wish ya the best bro, as Im also thinking of slowing it down til' the postseason.
