What confuses me the most, is Miami backers are saying the Heat got tired and that won't happen again. Why not?
They have one less day of rest this game.
People also say playing more people will help.
So you're saying playing Cole, Jones and turiaf will help??? Those guys will get smoked out there, plus you take away any offensive help by taking chalmers and Battier off the court.
Ok city is the worst possible matchup for Miami.

The field goal % was 52%. They shot the ball about 39%.
After they missed open shot after open shot, they realized they could get to the hoop anytime they wanted. So they got layup and dunk anytime they wanted.
They actually shot, jump shots, way below their average. And they were missing wide open shots.

If Westbrook starts hitting jumpshots he gets excited and actually hurts OKC because he starts playing out of control. Them starting cold was a blessing in disguise IMO

What's not talked about is the fact Westbrook had 11 assists and 2 turnovers. He has really matured as a point guard. Just last year he lead the league in that statistic and was 3rd this year. If he can continue to limit his turnovers in the postseason they will be hard to beat. GL on whatever you bet today

People claim they're a defensive team because they have players that are known to play solid defense James battier Haslem Anthony and even wade is known as one of the best shot blocking guards in the league. Honestly OKC is just a different type of monster.

Miami is one of the worst teams in the league at running a half court offense so I can see them trying to run a bit more in game 2. Durant and Westbrook both hit the offensive glass so I see no reason not to try. Espcially when they go to that small lineup

One thing I do disagree with you about is James jones I think he could be more effective than miller who's shown he needs to take his 5 million he made this year and retire. Jones can hit the open shot and at times has showed a mid range game. I said brooks wouldn't play collision much in my losing thread but coach brooks showed his brilliance with that being said spolestra is not brilliant and jones will not get playing time.

There have been a few rubes in this thread, but honestly, it's one of the best I've seen on covers in a while. Actual discussion about the game....how it could flow.....match-ups.....an honest to God breakdown of a sporting event for the most part rather than a "I just got the call and the Heat is the play" pisser of a thread. We couldn't avoid the "trap line" post, but even that person back-tracked and actually contributed at least something.

listen..we all know how much you hype the side your on days leading up to the game...you do it all the time..
you sit here and make the other team backers feel like they are dumb with their reasonings and how you think what your opinion is..is the only right thing..
Saying the heat's fastbreak points wont go up is the most idiotic thing i ever heard..and your reasoning is they dont wanna run with the thunder? Miami is the best fastbreak team in the league..no way in hell they have 4 fastbreak points... Thunder are a jumpshooting team..they arent gonna shoot over 50 percent..not on the heats defense.. Heat is the play tonight my friend

I agree with you U....Miami is the worst at executing in the half court game so they need to speed it up...You still got James and wade running the lanes which is just as good or even better than Durant and Westbrook

Do you realize you are the only person in this entire 5 pages of thread calling out someone else???
Everybody else is going back and forth with their opinions, yet you continue to single out people...
Well done

Stupid phone...as I was saying....imho Wade is obviously injured in some way and it shows every time he attempts a drive to the lane and backs up for a jumper or pump fakes 1-2 times before attempting a shot...it is just not like him to be so indecisive and to 2nd guess himself, there must be an underlying issue there that won't,all of a sudden, fix itself just cuz everyone says he needs to step up or go back to his A game.
What is up w Bosh and his 3 pointers?!...sure,he made a cpl against the Celtics when left wide open, but it seems like now he is hovering around the 3 line...strange.
Chalmers and Battier will NOT have performances like last game-take that to the bank.
Ok,Lebron is fantastic, like Bads said,a stat machine, especially in regular season...but come on,it is painful to have ur $$ on Heat and watch Bron go to the free throw line...the FREE throw line!!...how can u be one of the greatest and never seem to make a friggin free throw...I think I have cashed every single prop of heat missed FTs,and Bron is just as much to blame as rest of team...and Sef was amazing at defending and tiring James out in 4th,I think we all expect to see a lot of that upcoming...and his 4th quarter meltdowns are notorious and cannot be ignored.
I truly believe the Thumder will roll from tip off to end buzzer in blowout fashion, after starting off slow in 1st half last game due to,what I believe, was a little nerves and rust from a few extra days off.
Harden will be back to nailing treys...KD and Westbrook will shoot lights out,and the rest of Thunder role players will do just enough to keep a padded lead throughout.
I am thinking an ez cover today, next game Miami will play out of their minds, only to lose the game on a KD basket at buzzer...OKC will be lackluster in a game 4 and lose...then OKC will hold up the trophy in front of all the Heat fans in AA Arena, beginning a new NBA legacy for the next few years to come.
Heat lost 1 to Knicks,2 to Pacers,3 to Celtics...I wonder what's coming next...silly stat,but can't help think it'll come true...GLTA.

_______________
Saw an interview with Lebron over lunch today and I'm paraphrasing....but he inasmuch said that they might have to forego some offensive rebounding so they can get back and get set on defense. That doesn't sound like a team that is excited to go up and down with the Thunder. If they are worried about getting back on defense, how much of an advantage can they have getting out on the break themselves?
If Miami makes jump shots and plays great defense, they have a chance, but I just think OKC has too many options.
