A 16-10(+6 unit)week...time to start again...here's today's plays. Clippers line was pretty good...probably should add it..but not feeling Clipperish...I know this is the NBA board but I'm gonna go 2 units on KSU. Have not locked it in yet as the line continues to rise. Hoping it gets to 7.5...loved it at 5.5. If you have not investigated it, you might want to. Kansa has some folks beat up, they are on the road, it is a conference game, and it is a feirce rival, and K State is pretty darn good to boot. Public still heavy on Kansas. Looks so easy...a sure thing...a lock...NOT SO FAST...there ain't no sure thing in these waters...K State and as many points as they will let me get but make no mistake I'm in and it is my biggest play. Best to each and every darn one of you...if anybody even stops by to read this crap....LOL.

Today I'm not overly confident with this card, it's all favorites...All the dogs are playing well...

Chicago..thats alot of points to a team that has already beat you twice. But by Roses own admission, the Bulls have had this one circled. So the Bulls are motivated and Charlotte should be a little fatigued with all the traveling they have been doing. My bet is that there will come a time towards the end of the 3rd quarter...when fatigue meets motivation and motivation wins. Guess we will see.

Memphis and Philadelphia. Theres a tie at the top for covers as the Spurs join these 2. They both battle and continue to suprise.Memphis is on the cusp of being a long awaited playoff team...Memphis is more talented...Memphis was down 21 in the 3rd at Philly AND WON. That tells me that come nut cuttin time put your money on Memphis.

The Heat and the Pacers. A few days ago these two battled in Miami and it went to the wire. The Pacers are really playing good and I hate to bet against them right now...but Miami is in a crucial situation. Home court advantage in playoffs is at stake and every ball game counts...I like the way this team responded to being down 13 at one point to Boston in the 2nd half. Truth is, a fuckin ref missed a critical foul on a lay up attempt by Lebron(and it was obvious) that changed the whole complexion of the final minute(potentially). The Heat strike me as a group that is gonna stay focused.

So here is my card, going against 3 dogs playing well...simply because NONE of the 3 is being taken lightly.NONE of the 3 will benefit from a lack luster effort. Guess this card is all about who has more talent and who needs it the most. We shall soon see. Best to every darn one of you!

Did not make a play on Suns, Bulls and Grizz'es had me hangin'. Great night, greatful and appreciative. That makes for a  21-11 record/up 10 units.

Golden State. Thought I would just leave Utah alone 'til next week...saw 2nd half of GS and NO last night. It was brutal. GS dominated offensively and defensively...they are aware of the road troubles and here is a good spot to do something about it.

I knew after looking at the card it would be tough to pick a winner.  I was wrong about Boston...They did just enough to COVER(Can I hear a dad gum...DADGUM!) The Hawks...just a run of the mill NBA team...I thought this group had a little hope and they should...Its not about offense or defense with this group...Its about not having any leadership...what a shame....and how 'bout those Warriors! Good for them...thats a team that just may be headed in the right direction. Hate that Indiana could not pull it out...would have been a good thing....think they provide plenty of financial opportunities after the break though...and finally, it is time to put the Lakers to bed...it has run its course.Glad to put this chapter to rest and I'll take going 1-2 as a positive...tough sailin' through the fickle waters of the NBA today...makes the thought of dealing with the ex seem inviting...LOL... 22-13( 9 units) very fortunate.

I'm just not able to work with these lines at all in this Chicago/San Antonio thing. I guess I could flip a coin maybe...No...flip it a best of 7...How 'bout just forget about it...and move on to this:

I do like the Mavericks, but I don't know if I like them enough and there just ain't no way I can responsibly take the Suns. The last two games at home the have lost to the Kings and beat Utah by what?1 or 2. I thought about the Mav's playing last night, and travel, and the break...and then I saw that  Phoenix is blessed with a schedule that includes 23 opponents on the back end of the no days rest thing AND they have used it to its full advantage by poasting a 6 and 8 mark. Only in one of those(a loss to Detroit) were they themselves playing a back to back....on the other hand, Dallas is 7-4 with no days rest...and I must remember that the 7-4 mark includes "THE TIME WITHOUT DIRK" period.

Added Dallas...bought  back to -1.5...Just can't  pass it up...just hope the Mavs play like I think they will.

This was a little disappointing.Felt good about all the plays. Indy game was a point over...but the Atlanta Hawks were beyond terrible...no matter what the spread is I will be on the Suns tommorrow. That was the worst display of professional basketball I ever laid eyes on...and they are making a habit of it. In retrospect, I shoul;d have bet them two unders...but spinning my wheels the past 2 nights betting 12 plays....spent alot of time and energy and got no reward...or maybe that time and energy would have been spent a a smaller number of plays....Chicago game should have bet the under, had the game pinned at Chi. 88 and Miami 86 and at the one minute mark I think it was right about at that...anyway it did exactly what those teams do against quality NBA defenses...Miami wont make it to the finals...but I'd hate to be the Wizards tommorrow night....Gonna be ugly...lot of points thoughhave not looked to see whaty MJiami has coming up...if the coast is clear Washington ...po po...Washington.
