Following the picks of others is a choice we make. if we feel like we can cap a game better than them, then we should just create our own thread and post the picks there, rather than bash someone on their thread. In the first place, if you dont understand the game, you shouldnt be gambling and playing this game.

44 dimes...I also took Cleveland, but honestly they have been playing close games and I had it capped around 10.  It happens.

EZMoney...just STFU and stop bitching.  If you don't like the pick, cap your own and see what agrees with you.

I was suprised to see this post was still on the 1st page today.

It was a great pick, if not for Mike Miller playing hero and shooting a meaning less shot Dimes would be getting all the praise.

DIMES did not make anyone play anything, he only gave his insight on what he was betting personally & tried to help others win, which I applaud him for..

If you can't take losing it may NOT be best idea to gamble, everyone knows nothing is for sure and there is always the chance you can lose..

I personally thought it was a great PICK!!!!!!!!!

I appreciate you taking the time & effort to help others make money knowing that you don't have to, WHICH I THINK GETS LOST IN ALL OF THIS!!!!

Ive been looking at this guy picks for years,always a sound reason why and as far as I know he wins alot more than he loses,so the mad man throwing around 5 grand(WOW) is playing the wrong games,Ive made money off 44s picks this year and a couple others I look at,plus my few picks,
so bet less if the 5 grand hurts,you can still get the rush betting 100 or even 50,its about the winning.

The late Mort Olshan of The Gold Sheet stated that 50% of the games played are decided by factors completely outside the realm of handicapping.

In football, this would be a late play, crucial injury or fumble. In one of this year's bowl games a fumble occurred at the opponents two yard line and was returned 98 yards for a score...

..you can't handicap something like that...

So Olshan went on to say that all handicappers in 100 betting events start off at 25 wins - 25 losses...

...to hit 57% over all 100 games, the handicapper must win 67% of his bets/wagers.

This is why money management is so important.

Chances are that 44Dimes critic is overbetting... Assuming some reversion to the mean (out of bankroll safety concerns) figure that 44Dimes is truly 54.5% proficient and has just been getting lucky.

54.5 - (45.5/.91) = 4.5% Kelly Wager Size

Divide your bankroll into wager sizes of 1/25 and bet that each day on his picks (even the ones that go off simultaneously as the bankroll size does not need to be increased by that much)
